I’ve been wanting to try this place but then the pandemic happened and I’m finally returning with a decent layover so pulled the trigger on a reservation. The best part is you are whisked away into a calm and private seating area. Feels sort of like dining in the Polaris restaurant but the food isn’t as high quality but still pretty good. We came for breakfast so the menu items are somewhat limited. You currently have to order via the mobile QR code which makes it easy to customize your order. The egg dishes are quite large (3 eggs), choice of meat and potatoes (or fruit substitute) and toast. The coffee or tea come in a separate small teapot which is nice so you can refill yourself. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Window views of gates and departing flights. I would come back if I had a lengthy layover and no access to a United lounge

I’ve been looking forward to dining here for a long time as I finally obtained the United status needed to get a reservation. The ambience was great, the server was attentive and friendly, but the food left me extremely disappointed. The $30 bluefin, tuna appetizer was overly salty, but edible. The $70 dry aged strip steak arrived at my seat, clearly cooked well in advance of coming to my table. It was lukewarm, any juice had dried to the plate, and it ultimately very disappointing. The chocolates on my way out were a nice touch. It took 45 minutes to get my food, and was up against my boarding time so I did not have a chance for them to try and make it right. I had high hopes and a lot of excitement going into this experience but was ultimately left disappointed.

5 stars alone for the ambiance away from the hustle and bustle.

When you charge close to $100 for 2 breakfast dishes and 2 coffees, then you have to be critical on the overall experience. For me, it wasn’t as elegant as I’d expect it to be for a secret restaurant. Ordering by phone was unappealing which caused no attention to detail on drink refills, ketchup, or even jam. Food was flavorful and nice sized portions. Server was nice, but only interacted with her twice. All of the floors were extremely slippery and dangerous. Bathroom trash cans were full. At this point in time I would not accept an invitation again

We had a terrible experience and would never come back or recommend it to anyone. We waited an hour for our food and our server apologized stating that the kitchen made an error on our order and had to remake the food. The server said she called and texted the managers to let them know. She apologized numerous times and that the restaurant was not busy so she didn’t understand. Once our food was served, it was mediocre, not worth the price we paid for supposedly “an upscale restaurant”. They just threw watercress salad on the plate. The server helped us send a request for a refund before leaving, which we only received a partial refund, not even 1/2. We made it to our gate as it was just boarding. Very disappointed.

Fantastic service from Pasqual, made us feel like family. Had the Tomahawk Ribeye, it was out of this world. Will gladly return next time we’re in EWR-if they will once again let us make a reservation.

Invite only place at terminal C in EWR. Food was not the best. My fish was dry and it needed more chimichurri on the side. The steaks, you can’t even put in the app (how you order here, ugh) how you like it (ie med rate etc) – we had to ask the waitress to make sure they were med rare. Odd for a “fancy” place. The only food I liked on the menu was some sammich reminiscent of a Philly cheese steak.

This used to an amazing place prior to Covid19. Now, not worth the additional effort. Gone are the days with an exclusive menu that included top tier wines & spirits for a reasonable price. The food menu is uninspiring but tasted alright.

A nice and relaxing speakeasy in the airport setting. Don’t count on gourmet food here as it’s still very much the airport food and you still place your own order with a QR code so the best is to just get something small and enjoy a quiet corner in an otherwise busy terminal.

Excellent service. Nearly same menu as outside – food arrived cooler than it should have been (truffle Mac was hardly warm, bacon was ground fine into dust (basically bacon dirt – limited flavor but texture anyway). La Frieda aged burger was good – opted for bacon and egg and it was a mess but nice. Swapped half with the person who had the French dip – THAT was excellent. Great seasoning in the meat and wonderful ah jus. Recommend for the quiet atmosphere if you get an invite. Again, service and atmosphere alone worth the up charge.
