Reuben was fantastic. Fat cap was well rendered and meat was tender(keep in mind not a stender as traditional brisket) but the bite I had of traditional brisket from the meat slicer was excellent. Meat was seasoned well and was nicely smoked. Sarah the bar tender was a delight. Couldn’t be more satisfied.

We have been wanting to make it by for a while and we’re excited to today. Beautiful location and plenty of parking options. There are signs explaining how to order and what to expect. ALL of the staff were awesome and very helpful. Some of the better service we’ve received lately. Free sample of brisket sold us (even though I knew already I had to have that sandwich!) Plenty of great options. All of our food was great and plenty of it for the price. We liked the sauces. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere, well laid out with an airy vibe.

We frequently visit Lewis Barbecue in Charleston, but recently dined at their Greenville location during a road trip to that area. Lewis Barbecue in Charleston is my favorite barbecue restaurant, but all the good things I could say about the Charleston location applies to Greenville.

A fantastic experience. I loved how friendly the staff was and appreciate the samples I was able to try before ordering. The quality of the food here is fantastic and fresh. My favorite item here was absolutely the sliced brisket. Tasty and filling. Also, the atmosphere was clean and comfy. I appreciated the wet naps provided. My party had a great time last night. Will be returning soon! Kinda OVERPRICED

Over $80 and the 2lbs of brisket were dry and over cooked. The almost two pounds of beef ribs were the money and delicious. This was our first time, we felt rushed through and out the door without much experience. Not sure if it’s worth coming back.

We usually go to Charleston, SC for our summer trip and the one place we ALWAYS have to hit up is Lewis Barbecue. This year we switched up locations and it’s pretty awesome that they also have one in Greenville, SC. The staff is awesome and the food is amazing. The brisket, corn pudding and Texas hot guts sausage are my personal favorites.

Best BBQ I’ve had! I made a quick stop for dinner on the way to Asheville, and I’m so glad I did. I had the pulled pork and ribs with coleslaw and their house made ice tea. The meat was unbelievably flavorful and while I tried all of the sauces, they weren’t even needed. Super nice staff and fun outdoor space. Highly recommend!

I worked for a small BBQ chain in Birmingham, Alabama when I was in college, and all sides of my family are true BBQ connoisseurs; so let me tell you Lewis’ food is really top notch! We’ve had their carry-out before; but this time, we dined in. We’ve had their pulled pork on buttered buns, their amazingly seasoned brisquit, their tender collards, their yummy corn pudding, their fresh slaw, creamy potato salad, and both desserts – the dirt pie and the bannana pudding, too. ALL worth “writing home about,” and enjoying again. Only two things didn’t stand up to how good those other items were: Lewis’ sweet tea (a real must for the complete southern BBQ experience) isn’t as good as my southern dad’s, and their cavernous dining room was way too echo-y for casual conversation without really raising our voices to be heard or straining to hear one another. Next time, we’ll order to go and take our food home for Dad’s sweet tea and more relaxed conversation.
