Great concept but the food was terrible, 1st and 2nd course were dried out bread with cashew butter & very dry Crudité.

One of the most amazing culinary experiences we have ever had. All food is expertly prepared, many dishes are vegan including the lavender butter, brie and Bleu cheese, all foods are locally sourced, in season and presented by wonderful staff who explain each dish. The meal is 9 courses and worth every cent for such a delightful special occasion. Chef Michael puts his heart into each dish with amazing craftsmanship. My husband and I celebrated our birthdays and anniversary, which staff made us feel like royalty. We had a choice of seats which we choose to experience outside on the veranda. Loved every meal and definitely will return.

2 stars ! One for ambience and 1 for the exepcional service ! Honestly if our server was not as polite and accommodating I was going to not only leave 1 star but dispute my cc charge !the food was so disappointing ,I can’t even describe it .. if it was only vegan maybe It would be better .. if you don’t eat meat and don’t have the knowledge how to cook it… just do not ! That duck was a waste .. so overcooked it was uneatable ! I never seen so many main courses left in a restaurant before …

I am not one to write reviews but after looking to make my second reservation there and seeing that there had been a couple reviews that did not at all convey what the experience at Jardin is like I simply had to share mine.

Wednesday evening I had the most spectacular meal at the Jardin. The food was not only exquisite, it was absolutely delicious – innovative, creative, delectable, and beautiful. Kudos to Chef whose creativity abounds. Our server Courtney was delightful and it was obvious she also appreciates Chef’s works of art – service was wonderful HIghly recommend the experience.

One of the most fun meals we’ve had in a long time. The service was as good as any we’ve ever had – friendly & attentive but not intrusive. The playful nature of the dishes makes each one memorable, even if some are better than others. It reminds me of Laurel when it first opened – exciting and engaging, with some home runs and some items you can envision reimagined. This restaurant would be buzzed about in Philly or NY, which is a nice change of pace for the Cape May restaurant scene. Chef Michael has done an amazing job creating such a delicious progression so soon after opening. We can’t wait to go back and see how the menu evolves. Highly recommend if you enjoy the tasting menu experience.

Awesome! Wish I could give Jardin 10 stars. This was our 3rd time at Jardin, the menu is always changing and it just keeps getting better. Chef Michael’s menu is innovative, unique, and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are knowledgeable and inviting. The passion and vision shows through from start to finish. Jardin is a welcome addition to Cape May, it’s a must add to list of must go places. We’ll be back!

We had the pleasure of dining at Jardin on their opening weekend, and must say this was truly an experience! From the amazing, unique food to the outstanding service, Jardin fits in beautifully with the Cape May fine dining scene. The 9-course prix-fixe meal was paced perfectly, and the intimate setting ensures each guest receives personal attention from both the host and the chef himself. The food itself was delicate and inventive, beautifully plated, and perfectly proportioned. Overall, an outstanding experience in a quiet adult setting. Will definitely be back!

Had the opportunity to eat at this fabulous restaurant last weekend. From the moment we arrived we knew we were in for a very memorable, and fun experience. We arrived a bit early to ensure we were easily on time for the seating at 6:30 and spent some time on the beautiful porch enjoying a glass of wine. We were then ushered into a small and intimate dining room. There are literally just a few tables but it became clear very quickly that this is all part of the dining strategy. Plates started to arrive and with each Candace (a rock star) took time at each table to explain the dish (from the inspiration all the way through to the ingredients). Nothing was rushed and I never once felt bad that I was keeping her from her duties with questions I may have had. That seems, again, like the strategy here. Because it is so small and intimate you become part of the experience and questions are not only welcome, I felt like they were encouraged so that we could understand and truly savor the dish! It’s honestly something I’ve never experienced before while dining anywhere! About half way through the service the chef (Michael) himself comes out. Not sure if this occurs every night (I assume it does) but he also went table to table spending time discussing anything the patrons asked. It seemed every conversation at each table was different and Michael conversed, unrushed, and was happy to explain his artistry (this is what it is…complete art) and his thought process for any dish. Now, enough about the experience (although I could write about it and it alone) and onto the food. I really don’t even know where to start here. Each plate is a work of art. It looks beautiful, it tastes amazing, they are all completely on purpose and each comes with it an experience all on its own. I mean, the flavor was just amazing but everything was cooked to complete perfection. Mussels melt in your mouth, scallops explode with flavor and you can sit and savor the duck! It’s just insane. But, proteins aside, I have to touch on some of the other favorites. The faux gras pate has to be one of the most innovative items on the menu. You’re mind will be blown when you learn about how its made. Lastly, hands down my favorite item on the current menu is the Mayan 300AD dish (Yam)…just spectacular. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. There is no place like it in Cape May. Just don’t be in a rush, take a while to get through the journey you’re about to undertake 🙂
