Here is my honest review on Johnny’s Italian steakhouse.

Arrived early & had a private room for most of our meal. Our waitress timed the arrival of everything perfectly, so we weren’t overwhelmed.

I enjoyed the house salad, steak/shrimp diavolo with garlic mashed potatoes and the volcano, chocolate cake with cinnamon ice cream.

First time there. Played it safe and got the lasagna. It was pretty good. Some others had the sirloin and a side. House salad was pretty good. Nice place. I would go again.

Atmosphere is dark and poor music. We could barely read the menu in the lighting, the waiter seemed unhappy to be there, served no butter with the bread, asked for a specialty shot that we NEVER received, filet Oscar stated lump crab and had a horribly mushy crab cake on top of my steak instead, soup was cold, salad had only 1/2 a cherry tomato, potatoes cold, silverware was heavy and HUGE, no steak knives, and steaks thin and cooked incorrectly. For the prices the food came nowhere close! It was very unpleasant listening to the drunk guests at the bar yelling as well. I will not visit again.

In all honesty the food isn’t worth the price tag, although I ordered something that probably wasn’t my style, it turned out great.

My hubby and I tried this on a whim before going shopping in the area. We went with my hubby’s favorite appetizer : calamari. They had it nicely breaded and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t coated with lots of breading or chewy. They gave us Mayo sauce and marinara for dipping. I thought my Johnny’s Minelli was a great choice with the blackened chicken. The chicken was very tender, and the sauce was a great combination of garlic and cheese. Plus the glass of wine that our server recommended went along nicely with my pasta. I was pleasantly surprised by the first experience in comparison to some of the reviews. I’m pleased we tried it and will come back again.

Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse has been a good experience. The pasta and steaks are very tasty. If your sitting on the patio, take a cushion with you. The chairs are heavy wrought iron an d very uncomfortable. I have suffered for two weeks with tailbone issues. Impressed that it is dog friendly. Great service too. Jeff the bartender is a kind fellow

We went here because we stayed at nearby hotel and we were not impressed especially with food quality. No seasoning, bland, soupy gummy potatoes, & burnt meatball I couldn’t even feed my toddler. No butter with breadbasket was weird too, The wait staff was soooo slow as we didn’t order main entrees till probably 30 mins sitting there. There’s probably better options nearby.

Waste of $71. I ordered the filet and my boyfriend ordered a sirloin. My filet was over cooked and poor quality. Garlic mashed potatoes were runny. Lettuce for the house salad was wilted with a few toppings. Waiter barely checked on us and when she did, she forgot what we requested.
