We really wanted to like this place! The service was good – I asked some dumb questions and they were kind. The food, though…my daughter’s hot dog was mediocre. I had the Mac & cheese brisket. The Mac & cheese was soggy and it was served in a cast iron skillet (?) on top of a thin parchment paper that got soggy and then mixed in with the food. Not good. The fries were OK. Nothing special. The real bummer was the sticky toffee cake which had had the life microwaved out of it. Even before that, it looked like some cheap pastry from Walmart but not as appetizing. It was served on a baking tray with that parchment paper underneath. Why? If I had actually eaten it, there would have been paper in that, as well.

What a fun place! We really enjoyed our food and all of the flavourful beers. This is an upbeat, clean atmosphere and we will definitely be back in the coming weeks. So glad we have a pour-your-own-beer wall on our side of town now!!

This place was not a good opening night. We went on Saturday night and didn’t have a great experience. We spent $20.82 on fast food mozzarella sticks that weren’t good, tater tots that were just average and two small sandwiches. Buyer beware that your burger does not come with a side for $6.45. It only comes with a pickle and coleslaw. We opted out of the coleslaw and the pickle is a little slice of one that’s put on top of the burger.

$14.45 pulled pork plate, pictured was just ok. I expected a bit more then high school lunch tray. We were the only ones there yet most of the tables were dirty, they were completely out of there main menu item, brisket and the self serve beer bar was out of some beers. There was a issue with the way my bill was charged so the cashier had to goto the parking lot to retrieve the manager to fix it. During the short time we were there some employees were drawn to the parking lot going back and forth, getting in and out of cars several times. Like everywhere else when it was time to pay the bill they wanted a “tip” smh…Sadly we will not be returning.

I was not a fan. The Mac and cheese was mediocre and I convey the sentiment of most of the neutral and negative reviews. The food is mediocre I was not impressed. I ordered one pulled pork sandwich and a side. I do not like coleslaw it makes me gag so I asked if I could get something instead bag of chips anything. The manager was blunt and rude or maybe it was the owner Jamal but either way it was off putting. The most egregious part of this experience is I literally watched a lady ask for a substitution less than three minutes after I placed my order and GET IT 🙁 maybe it’s oversight perhaps but when I say I’m a first time customer that’s not how you get repeat business. Not impressed, 22$, tiny piece of corn bread, slaw that is tasteless and brisket that is way too salty. Customer service and friendly lacking. Won’t be back. Dogs enjoyed it though.
