The Venue Raleigh is the newest addition to the warehouse district in downtown Raleigh. Set in a historic building across from the train station, this setting adorns a carefully-restored interior, while featuring its original Belgian Paver stones. This restaurant and lounge offers 6000 square feet of floor space, while delicate chandeliers hang from the high ceiling, to add an elegant, sophisticated touch. Exposed wooden beams and large windows are also featured throughout the space. We have created the perfect mix of modern and rustic accents.

An another one ☝️ so this post is indifferent only because of the 45 minutes we had to wait to enter the door. We showed up for Sunday brunch and got in line at 11:25 and were practically near the front; they were supposed to open at noon, but getting everyone in and seated was longer than the usual process.

I was invited for a birthday brunch. Arrived at 12 and there was a line. Since we prepaid we were able to walk right in. We already had a huge area reserved so no issues with seating. Actually one side of the room belonged to our party. Not long after we got there our server ce over to introduce herself. She was awesome. They opened up the kitchen and because we got in early it didn’t take too long to get our food but the line can get long. As far as the food, it was good to me. I’m not a foodie so I don’t put too much thought into it…but…that macaroni was bussin. The DJ & MC was great. The vibe is nice. Beautiful decor. I was warned prior to going that it could get hot but it wasn’t too bad. The middle section is cooler and the outside sections are a little warmer. We danced, drank, ate & had a great time.

Too hot needed so more cool air flowing. Too much standing….to me the cover charge should had been at the door and not in the back where the buffet starts. Our waitress, Imani, was not the friendliest……she tolerated us to say the least. The music and the overall atmosphere was really nice. But I will not be returning.

I wish I didn’t have to leave this star. This place is HORRIBLE. We got there at 12pm, there was already a long line. They didn’t open the doors until close to 12:30pm. We waited in line for 1hr and 15mins. It was freezing cold and rainy. I saw this place on TikTok and it looked like a good time, so we decided to stick it out and hope for the best. We got inside around 1:15pm, we got in the buffet line shortly after and it took us 45mins to get through the buffet line. The food is mediocre at best. The grits were stiff, the waffles were cold, the fried chicken was bland. The Mac and cheese was decent, the bacon, and sausage links were the best, and they were just okay. They only serve Country Time lemonade and water, unless you order from the bar. The server was horrible. She came to ask us if we wanted anything from the bar and took our plates when we finished eating. We ordered a hookah. It arrived and did not work. They exchanged it for us and the new one was dirty. If the outside was dirty, I knew she inside was. We did not feel confident that the hookah was sanitary, so I requested a refund, which they granted. All in all, this place is a joke. All of the employees stand around on their phones, talk and play, and take shots and drink while paying customers have to wait hours to be seated and fed. I will not return and will not recommend anyone to visit this establishment.

The atmosphere is nice. They did say a live band but unfortunately it was a dj. The food is subpar at best. The Salmon was pretty ok and the yams, though nothing special. The macaroni was a hard No, too salty, mushy and way too much garlic. It’s was 4 of us dining and we all left it on our plates. The collards were very good. Unfortunately, I would not go again. It’s in a prime location but it lacks. It’s speaks of dollar general decor. Really cheesy,cheap dining wear. The tables and chairs were horrid. The metal chairs are small, hard and cheap. Everyone in my party agreed, a return would never happen. Nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. Please do not get the Hookah, it was pretty pathetic. We just left it. $40 dollars wasted!!

We had a ball the mimosas were soso but the host set the atmosphere hookah was terrible they need more flavors and a better option than having the server pull it to get it started also if you pay cash get a receipt cause they forgot we paid and wanted to bill us again but it did get settled easily

I am a homeless man and Venue gave away food to a church called Church in the Woods. I waited from 5 pm until 6:30 pm. I was first in line to be given food. There was a great deal of food they were giving away. They even had a cameraman there to document the giveaway. They gave me one Chicken Wing, two sausage pieces, one scoop of yellow rice and one scoop of grits. They gave everyone else there lots of food including bacon , turkey, waffles and plenty of other items. I was going to complain about it but the lady told me that they gave me the plate that it was made especially for me. I will no longer be getting any food from them nor will I ever attend services at Church in the Woods again. If this is how they treat homeless people how do you think they treat their paying customers. I thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Went to the Venue for a ladies night out. It was a cute place and had good music. There were not many customers but it felt crowded because of the placement of the tables. The chairs were also uncomfortable. It was a buffet style meal. The food was great! I just didn’t like getting up to get it. The waitress was not able to meet the needs for our table of 7. There were 3 people working the hookah bar and one waitress who doubled as a hostess. We were unaware that gratuities were automatically added which seemed kinda sneaky.
