Welcome to our kitchen!
Two chefs and a foodie set out to change the way people eat for the better. Our inspiration? The meals we had when our friends came over. The food. The pairings. The exploration. The energy. And the promise that on any given day we’d eat or drink something we wouldn’t find anywhere else. So we opened Tender Greens in 2006 and started a food revolution.
We start with the best ingredients, cook from the heart and let our food do the talking. No compromises, no matter what. Sustainability is at the core of all the choices we make, from our food to our planet to the future of farming. It’s in our DNA. After all, we’re chefs.

I love some Tender Greens! I have had Tender Greens before but lately I seem to be having it more frequently. My go-to dish is the Thai Bowl with grilled steak. It is such a yummy dish with a bunch of different flavors exploding in your mouth. It’s just good!

The quality of the food is not so great like before, it has declined drastically. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Plate with baby arugula and seasonal veggies. Salmon is medium cooked(under cooked) and seasonal veggies and also under cooked. My baby arugula has black spots on it, possibly bacteria. I brought this up to their attention but assured me that it’s fresh and spots are normal. Trusting my gut, and skipped the salad.

Food tastes good but portions are a bit small for the price you pay. I highly recommend to look at the online menu because once you aproach to the register the staff won’t give you the chance to choose (they are always in such a hurry, maybe because of the take out orders, IDK). They don’t sell any tipe of sodas, just lemonade and flavored water.

Got the Chipotle BBQ Chicken Salad. Not very flavorful and there were too many of those thick romaine stems and not enough leafy parts. Taste like the whole salad came straight out of a bag. It seems like it used to taste better. Oh well, won’t be getting that again.

Ten years ago Tender Greens was a convenient place to go to. I’ve probably eaten at Tender Greens around 50 times. The service has gone downhill so far. It takes about 4-5x as long to get your food now. My final straw was getting food poisoning the last time I went.

Poor Service NOT the employees’ fault, but service and operations really need to be revamped here. Uber and Grub pick up orders take up a lot of time and space and the long unidentified lines are horrible. Everyone orders and picks up it stands waiting in the deep tiny corner of the restaurant. Food is never ready on time when you pre-order, in fact, they don’t cook the protein until you ge there and let them know you’re waiting. I love the food but hate dealing w the king waits and misunderstandings every time.

Usually long wait times during dinner time. The plates with salad begin to pile up (10-15 plates just sitting there) and sometimes there’s no one around to finish the order (put meat/sides on it or package it into take out bags. One frustrated customer said he waited 30 mins for his order and I’ve waited over 20 mins for a pick-up as well. One time, as these plates were piling up and customers waiting, I see a black girl walking out of the kitchen doing something on her smartphone and she turned out to be the manager. Funny how she disappears and has time to look at her phone during peak dinner hours. I gave her my complaint stating that the plates were sitting there and no one was preparing them to go out. She gave me a little attitude to make it worse. I believe the person who makes the final preparations for the plates and/or packages it into take out bags is the most crucial for this store because this is where the process gets bottlenecked. I guess the owner doesn’t care if this is happening all the time. I wouldn’t come here during hours, especially on holidays.
