My first dining in the ChefSD establishment and it was the perfect experience. Thank you guys for allowing me to try your complimentarily mimos. The strawberry Mimosa and the one that looks like the sunset was delicious. Next visit, I’m getting that hurricane foundation of one of those flavors. The Shimp and grits is hands down one of the best in San Diego. The Chicken and waffles is my next dish of choice on my next visit. The atmosphere is a vibe for real.

It was my first time eating here, and I was thoroughly impressed with the food! Chef Blount is amazing!!! I ordered the Roman Shield Grilled Catfish over Dirty Rice, Topped w/creamy shrimp sauce w/Smoked Turkey Kale . I also loved the vibe (music) and look of everything. Our server was very attentive and kind. I will definitely be making another visit soon

Went with my girls yesterday at 11:30 place was pretty slow but it still took 45 minutes to get our food after ordering. Waffle was a 10/10 chicken was a little burnt and a bit salty. Would give it a 6/10. We ordered what we thought were home country fries but turned out to be country fried potatoes (a mistake on our part) when we told the waitress we were confused she said they have never had country fries on the menu. Instead of chopping it up to a mistake of ordering 1/2 bag of overly priced potato chips she sent the manager over who was a bit rude. Wasn’t that serious. They removed the over priced chips and we ate the rest of our food. Atmosphere was chill place is pretty. My friends have been before there before and raved about it. Hopefully just a slightly off day in the kitchen

Had a reservation for 11am came in and only one party was here before us.. the place was empty. After 1.5 hours waiting for our food it comes out burnt and wrong! We ask for the manager and “Key”, the manager comes out. She was soooo rude and nonchalant that I felt like this was a joke. She made excuses and scapegoated the chefs saying they were busy.. sis ain’t no one in here to make it busy. We’ll needless to say we won’t be coming back. Food was meh. Sorry that black owned businesses have such poor food quality and service!

The food was subpar and overpriced. Apparently the bar had none of the ingredients needed to make any of the drinks on the menu and the one drink the bartender was able to come up with was basically Kool aid and vodka. The service was also meh. The waitress seemed overworked, but there were only two parties there… soo basically I will never go back and I will not be referring my friends here in the future.
