We came out to grab a bite on a weekday evening. The website recommended putting a reservation down, but it wasn’t too busy and we were sat right away. The hostess was welcoming and friendly and took us to an outdoor table. The seating area itself was well decorated and overall had a really nice atmosphere.

I gave this 2 stars because of the class this restaurant is in. If you are going to charge 49.00 for some shrimp and grits they better be on a whole different level, but they were not. The serving was small and the shrimp was overcooked. We also had the grouper and it was dry. It didn’t seem fresh. We eat a lot of fresh fish at our house and it would be hard to mess it up this bad.

Blue Marlin is an excellent option for an outdoor beach scene with decent seafood. The menu is on the smaller side and the options are pricier than surrounding places. The complimentary edamame was unique and one of favorite parts of our dining experience here.

The food was amazing, and the bar tender was helpful and a bunch of laughs. He fit right into our crazy group. The burger was the best I ever had, and my friends thought the lobster Mac n cheese was beyond delicious!! 5 stars definitely!!

OK, the food is better than average, HOWEVER. I’m going to be hypercritical in my review because frankly, it’s WAY overpriced. I understand the “when in Rome” of being trapped on an island, but $8 for a side of hush puppies? I ordered shrimp and grits for $40, it was at most $20 of food, and I eat shrimp and grits quite a bit. Wife’s grouper was delicious, PERHAPS worth the $45 price, but I eat that quite a bit too and it is usually $30-$40 and arguably just as good. The place itself is clean, comfortable-we were here around 6pm on a Friday. Drinks seemed watered down.

The whole experience was amazing. The food is fresh and all the dishes is especially delicious, I can’t describe it in words. The guy who served us was a very nice person. The music and the place is inviting, cozy and relaxing. Highly recommend it.

What an amazing experience! Dined at the bar. Started with a Martini with huge olives that were freshly stuffed with blue cheese and bacon. Best martini I have had anywhere! So enjoyed the blue crab cakes on top of roasted Brussels. And dessert was amazing! Guava Key Lime pie. The service was outstanding. Thank you Hudson for a wonderful dining experience. You can taste the freshness.

if youre a seafood lover, go to blue marlin!! you can start your afternoon window shopping on bridge street and make your way toward the best seafood restaurant on Anna Maria island. there’s a small tiki hut bar and live music outside if you want to get a drink before dinner. but if you’re looking for a full cocktail menu, order inside the restaurant. we had palomas, espresso martinis and a citrus IPA. our server (drew) gave us excellent recommendations and top notch service. we even got a bowl of edamame on the house and drew brought us extra garlic breads to nibble on.
