We had such a great experience at Sahara’s ! We celebrated our friend’s birthday and they were able to accommodate our group of 15 with excellent service. But the food was the best part of the night ! We ordered mixed grilled meat platter and the small appetizers and felt very satisfied. Will be coming back soon !!

Delightful Turkish Dinner. We ordered all vegetarian and were delighted. Beginning with Raki served traditionally followed by combo vegetarian appetizer with 7 items, red lentil soup with lemon and entree of zucchini pancakes. Bread and olives complimentary. Two adults and we could barely finish. Superb waiter and comfortable colorful atmosphere . Looking forward to coming again!

The place is nice, not crowded at all. The food is good but the wine is overpriced. They charged me $40 for a regular one glass of red wine. The bill was around $70 for a chicken shish kebab, Turkish tea and one regular glass of red wine.

I was craving Turkish food today and my go-to spot went out of business so I decided to try Sahara. I enjoyed the decor I felt like I was in Europe. They had nice lunch specials but I ended up ordering from the regular menu. The Bee Sting smoothie was very tasty I think it was banana, milk, lavender, honey, walnut, strawberry and peach. The flavors complimented each other beautifully and nothing was overwhelming. The bread was tasty. Not sure what other people were complaining about because it’s the exact same type of bread I’ve had in other Turkish restaurants and the baba ganoush was delicious. The skirt steak was absolutely phenomenal. It was served with the yummiest rice and the standard tomato and pepper. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. Not too hard or soft. Perfect amount of seasoning and oil. I ate like it was my last day on earth and I’m still full. They knew it was my birthday and brought me a rice pudding with a candle which I thought was so nice. The staff was very friendly. I can’t wait to bring my husband here. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience

One of the best Turkish cuisines we’ve ever tasted in New York. Very friendly staff, cozy and warm vibes. The food was beyond filling, and simply mouth watering. Very generous portions! Prices were standard. Definitely recommend if you are looking for Turkish food in Manhattan.

Sahara is an absolutely charming little restaurant in Kips Bay. It seats about 60 people comfortably and has a great layout that allows guests to move around easily.
