Edit: watched thru the window as this guy was making a sandwich without gloves. Had his bare hands in all the cold toppings with the bun in his bare hand. Long drive-thru line because dining is closed and rude employees. Reached out to corporate and of course, never received a response.

I absolutely LOVE LJS Chicken Planks. I went one day to this location and went inside to order. There was not a single person in the restaurant. So I googled the phone number and called from the lobby, no one answered. I went back outside to leave and when I backed out I saw 2 employees sitting by the back door. I asked if they were open and they apologized and said because of short staffing they were closed. The next day I called from home to see if they were open, no answer. We went ahead and just made the drive over there and only the drive thru was open. Only 2 staff working, they were super nice though, apologized and thanked us for our patience. Food was a bit overcooked though, wasn’t my favorite trip to ol LJS.

So I was waiting in the drive through and I had a lady who worked there come out to me and explain that she would not trust the food in there that it could’ve been sitting there for days or weeks and that the place was filthy. She also stated that she had asked the manager why he even managed/worked there if he wasn’t going to do his job with pride and apparently he said that the workers “needed him” even though the lady was called in on her day off. She politely said if I were you I would pull off and get something better to eat and I did. I just figured I would put that out there.

Pretty good service most of the time, friendly. Food is fresh and good, sometimes they get your order wrong and they don’t always answer the phone… ♂️ But once you do reach them they make good on their mistakes.

Pulled up to the drive through around 350 with 2 people ahead of us. We sat 5 min before the first guy pulled forward. I seen him leave and it took 10 minutes before the next guy moved up. My turn to place my order and the worker asked to give him a couple min… I’m trapped in line and can’t leave after waiting 5 min and decide to pull forward to see the previous customer taking their food. After 20 min wait I left. Worst service ever!

I went to the location in Liberty Missouri. Sorry but this place is filthy. How are they able to stay open? Outlets without covers, wires hanging down, filthy floors and slippery. I like the old vintage look from when I was a kid but this is beyond vintage. If the eating area looks like this what must the kitchen look like? Walls filthy, dead flies. I love their food but someone needs to go and inspect this place and massive cleanup needs to happen ASAP.

The customer service was atrocious. They would NOT take your order at the ordering spot. Only at the Window. The ordering spot is to allow the cooks to prepare your food without having to wait so long. The window order taker had a customer who wanted to order at the ordering spot and then asked me if I needed hearing aids. Was offered no receipt.
