We visited this restaurant for lunch during the week. The service was excellent, very kind and attentive. The redecorated dining room was lovely and comfortable. The Taj Mahal beer was very cold, which was nice. We love Indian food and our selections were a HUGE disappointment. We ordered the Chicken Korma, Palak Paneer, and the Chicken Tikka Masala. There is a big difference between spicy and tasteless. Admittedly, we like our food spicy, although we forgot to specify the level of spice when we ordered. But also, the waiter never asked. However, this food tasted like NOTHING. I told the waiter this and he said that “Americans don’t usually like spicy food, so we make everything mild.” The point I’m trying to make is that this wasn’t mild, it was TASTELESS. It’s almost as if they forgot to add the Indian spices to the food. We will not be returning.

Had a terrible experience with this restaurant yesterday dinner. So called Dal Fry served was stale and sour in test. Panner butter masal was also sour. Not sure how they have got good reviews. Possibly paid reviews. Upon complaining to Manger, he said I replaced it you, what else you want, I said how about some ppl including kids already consumed few bites. He said I will talk to shef, I dont know inside the kitchen what happens. They even dont have some shame to apologies. so terrible. Be careful next time.

We got takeout lamb biryani and vindaloo. The biriani was good but this restaurant should be ashamed that they charged more than $5 for the vindaloo and I’m being generous with that amount. Nothing but frozen mixed vegetables. (corn, peas carrots, beans) and the sauce was so hot there was no flavor. Extremely disappointed and only gave 2 stars because we’ve eaten here before and it was good. Should not have on the menu if they don’t want to make an effort

This is the best Indian restaurant in northern Virginia! Honestly this is even better than what I’ve had in India. Johnny, the store manager, is so hospitable and treats us like family every time we come in and knows exactly what we want and how we want. They are so generous with their portions and the are very accommodating to your taste.

The food is amazing! We just came across the restaurant as we were craving for Indian food and Ah, what a perfect timing! We ordered Palak chaat, Malai chicken tikka as appetizers, and goat curry & Malabar fish with crispy garlic naan for mains. The order came in so quick and every item we ordered was so flavourful. Johnny, the manager is a great host! 100% recommending this place and would love to take rest of my family and friends as well.

Today was my first time visiting this lovely restaurant but wow it will not be my last. Everyone who helped us was so kind. The atmosphere was clean and well decorated and the playlist this evening was very vibey! Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS. chicken 65 was crispy and juicy with a superb heat without sacrificing flavor. I got the butter chicken and it was so so so so good. Felt like comfort food, just perfect. The lychee martini was also very good.
