The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious!! My family and I went in for brunch, and it was some of the best brunch we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was great and the place was very clean. Unfortunately, we did not have the best server. Though we understand the service industry is just not for everyone, we did not notice much effort to be just a bit more helpful, polite, or to have a smile on. Would totally go back hoping the service improves.

Date Night! We’ll go back for sure! We tried a few different menu items and really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwiches. For starters we tried the poutine with pork and it was delicious!

It is almost time to go to sleep and I am still thinking about lunch! We went yesterday and it was so good and so many choices that we went back today and took more people so we could all order stuff and do it “try a bite” style. We took Mom and she is about as “particular” as you can get. The pulled pork is pretty amazing and yesterday I had decided that was the one for me. Today I had the “Meatup” and now there is a tie because a burger with brisket? Say no more! Sauce is saucy and tangy, 3 options. If you don’t try the FECKING HOT, you haven’t lived. I do love the taste of the smoke AND the meat so I went naked for most of it, and I’d do it again. SIDES: MacNCheese & the warm potato salad are super comfort like yum! The fried green tomatoes and the corn fritters were both a new adventure, both scrumptious.. I only had so much stomach real estate left so I saved the beans for last and they were still nice and warm, I decided after one bite it (THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD). A bite of Key Lime pie was not enough for the 5 of us so we got a whole one so here I am just walking around with a fork and taking little bites every time I pass the fridge.. Shameless! Finding balance of the smoke to meat flavor ratio is not easy (Back yard smoker warriors, you know it’s true) and then you add lots of DIFFERENT side options (that didn’t come from a freezer) oh Utah carnivores, we finally have BBQ NIRVANA! ***update*** we celebrated a Birthday last night at the Meat Hook the food was amazing as usual and the view of the awesome sunset from that Patio was incredible!

Loved the biscuits and gravey. The jalapeño popper dip was too die for. The gringo burger was very juciey and delightful. The sweet tea was old, and as for the deserts, it was not so special.

Such a nice atmosphere. When you see the place your expectations are automatically increasing. But service was poor and meat served cold. Side hot potato salad was bad, and the beans were ok.

Pleasantly surprised! Since I smoke most of my own meats, I am usually disappointed when going to a BBQ place – Meat Hook BBQ did not disappoint in any way shape or form! I got the bbqcuterie board to try all the meats and they were ALL amazing! Highly recommended and I would definitely go back!

I thought this was the best bbq I have had in the valley since the days before R&R became a chain and used to be good. I had the ribs and brisket and both were awesome.

This place is absolutely horrible. Don’t go. There are many other good barbecue options in Utah. We spoke to two hostesses to ask them if they had beef ribs like on the bone before we drove over to the restaurant and both of them said yes. Then we got to the restaurant and when they brought out the ribs it was baby back ribs, four small ones and two sides that we split for 25 bucks. The value for the food is not good. The taste of the food is not good. The ribs are naked and I spit out a bunch of bone chips into my napkin. We had ordered eight corn muffins and when they brought out the meal they downsized it to two corn muffins. When we asked for an additional corn muffin in place of the mix-up over the ribs, the management said no, they couldn’t bring out a tiny corn muffin. Management also refused to talk to us about the customer service issue. So I would say service was horrible. Quality was horrible. Taste was horrible. Value was horrible. The amount of food that they brought out was way overpriced and I actually really hope that this restaurant goes out of business.

My first experience at this establishment was a positive one. The food was phenomenal and our server was top notch. She was having a little trouble with her POS tablet, but she was very professional and apologetic and made me feel like she truly cared about my experience. The brisket was unbelievable, I love the sides, and the Texas Twinkies were yummy even though they burned a few hairs out of my nose. I also appreciated the fact that they had a very well labeled gluten-free menu. I will happily come back again and again.
