Excellent place for a fancy date or special occasion. Sitting at the kitchen bar was fun. It’s amazing that even with a packed house, not a single staff member seems flustered or rushing. It’s satisfying to see a place run so well. The wait staff’s knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and steps taken to prepare items was impressive. We appreciated it since there were a handful of things we hadn’t tried before. Go in with an open mind and try some things even if it has an ingredient you usually don’t go for. For example I avoid goat cheese but the tomatoes and pears dish with the goat cheese sauce was one of my favorites. Last but not least, the bartender provides fantastic cocktails that are worth the price. The beef tallow old fashioned was killer. Thanks for a memorable evening!

A top notch food experiences. D+T exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable. Our server was capable, profession, friendly, and made us feel comfortable. The clearing and setting between courses was magical. The details were charming and full of character… but the food!!!

What an amazing place. The best food Raleigh has to offer hands down. I used Resy to book a table by the kitchen counter. We were immediately seated, greeted and given a toast to celebrate. The golden beets were a delight to start with. I have never tasted beets more delicious than these. That seeded bread to accompany was fresh and full of flavor. And that butter was fresh. Loved it! And the vegetable bolognese pasta was impeccable. The best pasta I have had in a really really long time. The panna cotta at the end was the cheery on the cake with this whole experience. The drinks could be a little bit more tastier but this place deserves a Michelin by a long shot in my book. I was unable to take a picture of everything because we were so busy eating and enjoying.

Unbelievable service. It’s like an orchestra. Every plate, dish, silverware, etc placed with a purpose. The food is exceptional like many other fine dining establishments. However the service puts this place WAY over the top.

We really enjoyed our meal and dining experience here. The food was great, the drinks were awesome, and dessert was delicious! We had the steak and fish for dinner. We would recommend the Swashbuckler and the Tax Free for drinks. Would recommend and we will be going back!

Hard to get a reservation…because the food is so good! One of the better restaurants in Raleigh! We managed to get a reservation at the kitchen counter, which we weren’t sure about… but the service was amazing!

The whole design of the restaurant was really interesting. They had a number of really interesting specialty cocktails. The food was absolutely un-real. The serving staff did a phenomenal job of both knowing the menu, food, and back story as well as paying attention to our needs as a guest. We went to celebrate my Fiancee’s birthday and they went well above and beyond. I haven’t stopped talking about it with anyone that will listen.

You must try the dry-aged Long Island Strip, embered sweetpotato, beef fat butter, caper-pink peppercorn chimichurri. The best I ever had, so flavorful. Everything was great from the drinks, my appetizer (crispy new potatoes, aged beef fat, fines herbs), to the main course and tea. It was worth it. I had one of the best bartender/server whom name is Alex. He provided great customer services, polite, good conversation, he makes wonderful recommendations for drinks and food, he knows his flavors and the ingredients. The atmosphere is wonderful. The other bartender and staff were also polite and helpful as well. I will definitely be back!!!
