Alois Lageder – Porer Pinot Grigio

$29.00
Brigaldara – Amarone Della Valpolicella (375 ML)
Bright red. The clean aromas of red cherry and berries are enhanced by a floral touch. Initially sweet with a nice glycerine sensation in the mouth, it follows a slightly bitter note with a noticeable tannic bite on the lively flavours of red fruits. Classically dry finishes with a hint of heat derived from the significant alcoholic content.

The red sauce is to die for. The pizza was so warm and delicious. We also ordered the gnocchi pasta along with it. Love the ambience and swimming pool like interiors. Can get crowded during weekends.

This place is so consistently great, we love it. The food is delicious and creative, the bar is on point, and a huge shoutout to some of the best restaurant folks around, including Sam and Chef John. The service, food, and drinks keep us coming back over and over again.

Went to Poole’side Pies for dinner. The pool-themed decoration is adorable and adds to the experience. They use locally sourced ingredients down to local oak for their amazing wood-fired pizza oven. I sat at the bar. Samie and Brock served me; both were amazing, attentive, and gave perfect recommendations. I started with the warm feta dip which was amazing! It was like dessert and an appetizer all in one! Moved on to the radish salad, the addition of the dried cherries put this over the top. Main course brought me to the Bucatini Amatriciana, as recommended by Samie. It was spot on! A little bit of spice and al dente cooked to perfection. I ended the meal with a chocolate chip cookie pie which was gooey perfection. I absolutely loved the food and the service! I recommend Poole’side Pies!

Being from New York, finding a slice that reminds us of home has been a struggle for my partner and I. We went as far as doing a pizza tour and trying all places in the Triangle that claimed NY pizza. However, after dining at Poole’side Pies, we finally found pizza that reminds us of home and even compares to our all-time favorite craft pizza place in NY. Is there anything Ashley Christensen can’t do?!

The feta dip was the best thing. The gnocchi was too Smokey for me. The Brussel sprouts were amazing. Pizza was good but have had better

Came here on a whim when the family was in town. Opted to sit at the bar, as we did not make reservations and the wait was around 30 minutes for 4 people on a Saturday night at about 7:30 PM.

The tiramisu was amazing 10/10. The pizza was good but a little too charred for my taste on the crust.

love the vibe of the place. flavors are good (love the duke), but pizzas should not have the texture of pasta in the middle. and then burned on the edges. quality control of the ovens just needs some refinement
