Ordered through uber eats, got it an hour afterwards, this is iowa city, not some huge city. On top of that they gave a piece of stale bread like it was heated on purpose to make it too hard too eat because i called complaining about my food not being here. Driver doesn’t know about gps, i can understand not everyone uses it but you’re a driver you should know about it.

Ordered 2 sandwiches at 7:10pm waited until 9:58pm to get food. More reviews to follow. On the third call the manager, Caitlin, hung up on me. Trash manager, other employees that I interacted with are awesome.

Literally the worst service experience I’ve had at any fast food or chain or full service restaurant period. My delivery order was 2 hours late, and after calling to check in on my order, I was STILL told that there was “no estimated arrival time“ for the order. Then when I called, ( in a super chill manner because I literally work in the food industry as well), they had the audacity to be rude to ME. I get totally that the food industry can be frustrating, especially when things out of your control happen while working. But the worker I spoke with was the most unprofessional and careless employee I’ve ever spoken with, and he refused to help me any further nor give me any customer service number to help me rectify the situation.

Placed an online order for pick up. When I got home my order was not correct. I then called and told them it was incorrect, could they please remake it. I was told by an employee I don’t know what to do about your order. So I asked who was the manager, she stated it was Cora. I asked if I could speak to her. I was then placed on hold. The same individual came back to the phone and said AGAIN, I don’t know what to do about your order and then hung up on me. I called back, of course they did not answer. Whose customer service I have ever encountered.

The Jimmy Johns location in Iowa City is notoriously SLOW with delivery. A few weeks ago I ordered a sandwich and requested delivery as I needed to work over my lunch and had a 1:15pm meeting. I waited over an hour to receive my delivery. When I called to inquire about the sandwich the worker was less than apologetic and told me they were “just busy.” Recently I received a “free sandwich” redemption code. I decided to give them another shot, since the sandwich was free. I ordered my sandwich at 11:43am and waited over 45 minutes for my delivery. My office is literally two blocks from the Jimmy Johns. However, I’m also told the customer service in-store is bad too. I think their management could do better at this location.

This had just happened. I ordered my Jimmy Johns sandwich at approximately 159AM. The guy that took my order said they would get to me ASAP. Great! I didn’t want the delivery guy to wait for me since they seemed busy, so I went downstairs right away to the first floor of the dorm I live in. I waited for approximately 45 minutes with no word from them. I called them again to confirm that my order was on the way. The guy that picked up said that “it was PROBABLY on the way.” Alright… So I waited for another 30 minutes. I got tired of waiting, so I called one final time, and it turned out, my order was voided for some reason?? At this point, I’m starving, so I’m pretty annoyed. Well what happened was, one of the employees inputed my phone number incorrectly, and as a result, they were contacting a different person who had nothing to do with my order. I did not get my sandwich unfortunately. The manager was pretty nice and professional about it, which I appreciated. This is why I gave a 2-star rating rather than a 1-star rating. I also ended up receiving 10$ dollars in store credit. I’m just disappointed that I wasted about 1.5 hours of my time for a very simple mistake they made. However, I realize that everyone makes mistakes, so I really hope they don’t make this same mistake again. And I do really like Jimmy Johns sandwiches in general, but I am hesitant to order from this specific store location again.
