It’s a very nice cozy restaurant with lots of options to choose from especially they include menu for vegetarian. Ordered veg clay pot, crab fried with nori, egg omelette with crabs, risotto balls, udon everything was good. Would recommend not to order entire food at once and tater place an order Separately for each course.

We made a reservation before we came. We came to celebrate family member birthday. As I know, there is another gochi in South Bay. We arrived on time and got seated. It was fullhouse. The seat is japanese style where the table is low and you kind of sit on the floor. Interior is a nice japanese style look. Interestingly, even though it was full, there was not much noise. There are plenty of items on the menu that make it hard to decide what yo order. We ordered pizza, tempura, carpacio, sashimi, unagi meshi, and tanuki udon. The pizza is unique. We never had it before. The tempura is ok. Hamachi carpacio is yummy. Sashimi is average for me. Unagi meshi is yummy. It think it needs more sauce. Tanuki udon is average. The service is considered fast, and I think we were given a time limit for dining in. I wish the server could suggest what is popular or suggest what we should order.

So much better than I expected! Every single dish was fantastic the app was a bit finicky tbh but the service made up for it. Loved the unagi claypot, the agedashi tofu, takowasa, scallops, eggplant with prawns

You really need to know what to order at this place! We had daikon salad, kimchi pork belly, and fried chicken and they were all amazing!

Store atmosphere and service are great. But the dishes are either too sweet or too salty for me. Not very authentic Japanese taste. Some dishes tastes the same. Probably using the same sauce

We booked the table a week before, when we walked in, the Usher told us we have 90 minutes, is that ok for us, that’s our anniversary dinner can I say no? And I am not having a cheap buffet dinner, I’m paying full price for a high end dinner, why do I have to feel rushed to celebrate my anniversary. After we sit down, the servicer offers a digital menu or physical menu, we pick digital, since then I never see him again, I need to look for him and wave every time. The menu is boring, not much character, like Burdock fries…, They sold out for clam that day, no ebi sashimi, I have a hard time to pick an order. For the Sashimi, hamachi one piece thick one piece thin, tuna has tendon, mackerel had fish bones not one but three.

Great menu. We ordered a lot, portions are larger than you’d think. Expensive ($$$$). The clay pot are a must. Starters are distracting in a good way. 🙂

Gochi never disappoints. Love their hamachi carpaccio, ankimo, and unagi stone pot rice. And many more.
