This restaurant is very good. I’m in the area for the first time, and I wanted a really good Asian food experience before I left. This restaurant allowed us to do just that. We had the sesame noodles, Szechuan chicken, pork dumplings and mushroom fried rice. All of the food was very flavorful. Also, the vibe was good, and the waitress was kind. There were no misses. I highly recommend!

The food, cocktails and service get 5 stars from me. I wish I took photos of the food because it was all so incredible. The plates are definitely family style and portion sizes are adequate for price. My friend and I ordered the greens, Dan Dan noodles, dumplings and their special for the day which was a garlic short rib. Everything was delicious and had the perfect amount of spice. I ordered the Ernest goes east cocktail based on the server’s recommendation and it was so unique and paired well with my food. I can’t wait to come back and try everything!

Cozy beautiful place with delicious food options! We tried a combination of items including the spicy eggplant, chickpea curd, grandma potatoes, mapo tofu, dry fried chicken, stir fried cumin lamb, dan dan noodles, mushroom and tofu fried rice. The dan dan noodles were my favorite followed by the cumin lamb. There werent any dessert options offered but would’ve loved some after the spicy food!

What an excellent dining experience! Came across the restaurant on an Eater list and decided to try it. We had a reservation (which was great, because the place was busy!), and were seated promptly! I especially loved our servers – all of whom were so friendly and had great recommendations. The menu was exciting – we loved the chrysanthemum salad and spicy eggplant (chilled) – amazing flavours and the spice level was just right! The Dan Dan noodles and the mushroom tofu fried rice were great large plates to share. I got a Red Lantern to drink, and the flavour of hibiscus was superb. Overall, a 5 star dining experience, would highly recommend and would 100% visit again!

A modern take on traditional Chinese cuisine. Like it’s sister restaurant Noodle / Bar in SLU, this place offers Chinese dishes and cocktails but with more options. We had sichuan pork dumplings, dry fried chicken, egg fried rice, chinese greens and they all tasted pretty good and authentic. Portion size was good, service was friendly and the store was very clean. Would definitely visit again.

We went yesterday and if I could rate it 100 stars I would! Every single dish was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the pork belly and lamb. Waitstaff had great suggestions on which drinks to get as well.

The bad: If you’re expecting authentic sichuan food this just doesn’t hit the spot. I’ve had mapo tofu in various east coast cities and this one was inedible for both my wife and me. The dish is far too salty – in a bad, chemical-taste kind of way. The tofu, in particular tastes like chemicals. Not to mention, it is $20 – pork and tofu – two staples of Sichuan cuisine. Even if you forgive the price for the dish, it’s just inedible. The dry fried green beans were ok. Nothing to return for but overall good and fresh. Though I can’t understand why one would put pork on them. The Chinese greens were also quite fresh. The portion sizes for both the veggie dishes seemed adequate. $4 for a side of rice though?! It was good rice but that seems like robery.

Beautiful space with lovely servers. The food all sounds yummy on the menu, it looks gorgeous on the table and the first bites are heaven! Then your teeth get hold of a szechuan peppercorn and the warm and intense (and temporary) numbing quality of this legendary spice takes hold. And the szechuan pepper was not in just one dish, I think it was in every single dish we ordered! We would have gobbled everything up in minutes if we weren’t slowed with the necessary recovery of our taste buds. If we ate too much of the peppercorn all of a sudden everything read as wildly salty and we had to pause. The turmeric ginger beverage is the perfect and most delicious way to calm the sensations. The fabulous cucumber dish helped too. We did 4 out of 5 stars for spice level and my thought is that this wasn’t a scale for heat but for the intensity of the szechuan. I suggest dialing it down and ordering a few dishes without the pepper and an extra bowl of rice. Don’t skip the mapu tofu! I can’t wait to come back and try more!

Great outdoor seating with excellent customer service. All my friends enjoyed the food and drink here. A little on the fusion side. Each dishes is unique and full of flavors and Szechuan pepper. Cocktail price tags are very reasonable compare to other surrounding places.
