Bløm Meadworks Menu – Ann Arbor, MI

Type : Restaurant

Location : Ann Arbor, MI

At Bløm Meadworks (pronounced “bloom”), we make what we like to call session meads and ciders – they’re light, dry, carbonated, and remarkably sessionable. For our meads, we start with the same ingredients as a traditional mead – honey, water and yeast – which means we can source all of our ingredients from Michigan. Unlike most meads though, we ferment it like a dry craft cider, so the result isn’t nearly as thick or sweet.

Our downtown Ann Arbor taproom is a community space with weekly events including trivia, board game night and yoga. We also partner up with local businesses to bring in special events and pop-ups. We’ve always got movies playing on the projector and new flavors on tap. Check our calendar for an updated list!

Airy, relaxed taproom for a local maker of craft mead & cider, with snacks & board games. Based on 195 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.8 stars. Price $$

I’ve come here a few times with my friends and it’s always a good time. Very chill vibe, sometimes they have cool stuff playing on the projector, and they have board games you can play! Found one of my favorite board games just by trying it once here. The drinks are great and the staff are always friendly!

Stopped in on an afternoon brewey trek. Busy but found seats at the bar, which we prefer. Service was quick. Hubsy got a flight, I opted for Hot Mulled Mead, very similar to Glögg. Hubsy is eyeing up the cheese trays.

A phenomenal selection. Good mead, good atmosphere, good people. Really adds to the community. Please support this location so that it will still be here next time I come back to Ann Arbor (I plan to come with lots of money and buy many canned meads.)

I didn’t know I loved mead until I found Bløm!! A top spot for me in Ann Arbor since moving here in 2009. Their products are totally unique, delicious, and made with a lot of thought and care. The mead is refreshing…But it warms you up. And feels like flowers and cuddly bees, and fruit and bubbles.

I enjoyed my dry cider, and I love what they are doing with local musicians! What a wonderful way to build community. Bløm was also playing Fantastic Mr. Fox when I entered– this place knows how to make a chill & engaging space.

The service was disappointing. Despite enjoying the atmosphere (staff were watching a projection of a movie/TV on the wall), I sat at the bar with empty glasses for over 10 minutes and struggled to get the bartender’s attention despite being one of two patrons at the bar. It would have been better if the service matched the rest of the experience.

Not quite my favorite spot to get some mead in Michigan, but it does the job very well. Great, natural flavors set within a lovely, minimalist interior. I usually prefer sweeter meads, but I would recommend some of the drier, tart options here. My guest and I weren’t fans of the pear ginger cider. I’d definitely stop by again.

Opted for the greenhouse experience on a chilly night. After the warm mead hit my bones, it was go time. Always a great experience here. The owner is super chill and accommodating.

I’ve lived in Ann Arbor for almost a year and this was my first time here! Definitely planning to come back. The space is amazing, lots of seating and there are boardgames too! There’s a list of events hosted at Blom, my favorite: the teacher happy hour and yoga session which I plan to return for (yoga, yay). Tried the build your own flight – included: the Rhubarb Mead, Standard Mead, Apple Cyser, and the Pear Ginger Cider. All were good! I did sample the Stone Fruit Coriander and Raspberry Mead before heading out and those were definitely my favorite!! Highly recommend stopping by if you are ever in Ann Arbor! Oh and the employees are great and take great pictures! 🙂

We dropped in because we’d never seen anywhere selling mead in the US before, and were really impressed. We had a flight of 4 oz meads and ciders, and a cheese platter that was to die for! Thanks to the really helpful/ friendly bartender who walked us through the menu! (Unfortunately, didn’t catch her name.) Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area! 🙂
