The original Inman Park location is sure to present people with a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. Folk Art has earned a reputation for having some of the best brunch fare in Atlanta since opening in 2013. Having opened a second location in Decatur in the former Thumbs Up space, Folk Art continues to pull in throngs of patrons there, too. Look for plates of Southern brunch fixings on the menu, like deep-fried cheddar jalapeno grit fritters, Angus beef patty melts, and roasted pork and chilis over eggs and queso. Don’t shy away from the staples at this restaurant, including the three-egg omelets and whiskey compote waffle with fried chicken. The latter totally stands up to fierce competition in this chicken-and-waffle-crazed town..
Contemporary chain outlet offering comfort food & brunch, plus a take-out option. Based on 752 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.4 stars. Price $$

After I ate here the first time, all I could think about is the next time I could eat here again. The food is unbelievably delicious. We started with the sweet potato donuts and honestly I should’ve gotten a bag to-go because they were just that good. Then we had the fried green tomatoes which were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. I had the chicken and waffles which was outrageous with the peach compote. The grits were creamy and flavor rich. The eggs were the perfect soft scramble. I’ve already been back once and cannot wait to return.

This is a great mello place for brunch on a Sunday. The service here was really good and I never waited long for anything. The food was good and the drinks were just right. Come here if you’re looking for a place to have a chill breakfast or brunch.

The Eggs Benedict had very little hollandaise so that was disappointing.

I decided to try Folk Art for brunch. Upon arriving there’s a parking garage attached to the back as this is street facing in downtown Decatur. The 1st 30 minutes are free it goes up from there. Once inside the vibe is super chill. You seat yourself and use the QR code to pull up the menu. I knew I wanted to try the Crab Cake Benedict and asked for that a drink recommendation. The Champagne Punch was perfect the Crab Cake Benedict was way too salty. I cut eating it short and got the donut holes. They were pretty good.

We arrived shortly after they opened for breakfast on 2/12/2023. It was not busy. Everything we ordered was cold. I asked for scrambled eggs and it had macaroni noodles cooked in it. Where the hell did macaroni noodles come from???! COOKED macaroni noodles at that?! Gross! My sons waffle compote (whiskey peach) did not have the alcohol cooked out of it and it was completely inedible for him. Waffle was flavored with something that we never could figure out, but it wasn’t good. Bacon was barely cooked. Grits were so cold they were like plaster. Waitress offered to make new eggs, I declined. We told her about the food being cold and she said we should have told her they would have remade it. Why?? Restaurant isn’t busy, we were 3rd party to sit down and our food was cold for the first attempt. We were on a time constraint anyway, but shouldn’t it be hot the first round? I get if 1 or 2 things would have been warm, BUT EVERYTHING???? Worst breakfast we’ve had to date!!

Went on a Saturday, they seated us quickly. The food was fresh, hot and AMAZING, especially the short ribs and grits . The French toast was also really good. The price was really fair what I ordered. I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu.

The food was fantastic. I wish they’d had more vegan/vegetarian options though. An egg substitute would go a long way, but they did have fake sausage.
