Nice atmosphere. I ordered the Chicken and Waffle. The presentation of the dish was amazing and there were lots of unique flavors in the sauce. Definitely an upscale tasting dish. However, my side (sweet potato fries) was over cooked big time, which was disappointing and unpleasant to eat. We did not have a good server, which was more disappointing. Another waitress checked on me multiple times (which was very nice of her). My experience here was not the greatest because of the low quality service I recieved. It is clear that some hold them selves to high standards and some, don’t care.

Atmosphere was great and the menu was enticing enough to lure us from our hotel across the street. Unfortunately, the good ends there.

Atmosphere is what attacks you here. But service falls short compared to the prices you pay. Server never checked how our meal was or asked if we needed new drinks. It wasn’t a busy night either – there were 3 other tables outside. Food was mediocre. Edamame almost inedible and so charred. Karage chicken so dried. This was convenient to our hotel and so many reviews. However, it’s really a place for young patrons who have been drinking a while and don’t appreciate good food. Of all the food in Austin, this really fell short.

We came late at night but service was still AMAZING. I don’t remember our servers name but she was a big help we’re new to town so she helped us find places to go and areas to look at in Austin. Hooked us up with a free drink and appetizer overall great vibes and great food. If you go there try the aloha burger !!

The best thing about this establishment is the atmosphere and view of the adjacent streetscape. Our party of two was seated quickly at a bar table, all the booths were taken. The burgers we ordered looked good on the plate but were rather unremarkable. A gooey mess of fusion flavors that I couldn’t distinguish. The roasted cauliflower was mush. The sauce on the mushy vegetable was not noteworthy. The server was less than attentive. She never asked if we were happy with our meal or offered any condiments. We waited an eternity for the check to be handed to us.

We were in the area and looking for somewhere decent for lunch. A lady at the reception in a nearby hotel recommended this place. Glad she did. My Nam Nom Noodle salad (added chicken) was fresh and delicious. My other half had Hapa Chicken Sandwich which he really enjoyed. Staffs were friendly and restaurant was clean.

Charred edamame is a must. Didn’t get pictures of the plates because we devoured them. Very cool atmosphere. Hip and well kept. Every drink and meal is unique and presented so cool. Great date spot. Great for sharing plates. Just such a good restaurant and will be back again and again. Flavors are worth the parking situation and a try. Staff are helpful and not snooty. Best spot on Rainey street by far. Make a reservation and enjoy!

Food was fair. Portions seemed small for the price. Waiter charged me half the appetizer for another party at my table, did not provide itemized bill when paying. He was friendly and helpful but that’s not cool to do when I didn’t order it.
