We continue our first time experience in Portland. Right when we walked in we were greeted and brought right to our seat. Our waiter Sean came right over with complementary champagne for our One year anniversary. It was so thoughtful. The appetizers were delicious. Had shrimp cocktail and oysters. For dinner we had the grilled salmon with miso honey and grilled scallops with chimichurri. Those were paired with delicious green beans and roasted potatoes. We also added garlic truffle fries.

Classic old school style restaurant. Nice spacious dining room with a huge fish tank illuminating the entrance. Unfortunately, the food was not what we were looking for. Classic restaurant with a not so Classic spin on their menu. The Caesar salad had an odd oily dressing, chicken sandwich’s aioli was a watery brown sauce on a burnt bun, and the clam chowder was full of huge scallions. Saved by the service, though, the waitress was really understanding, and the management was professional and apologetic about our disappointing meals.

This was an incredible dining experience. The hospitality at this restaurant was phenomenal. The manager gave us a page of hand written recommendations upon hearing we were on a bachelorette trip. The food and drinks were excellent and the prices are very reasonable for great seafood.

For our last night in Maine we wanted to try another nice restaurant. We were not disappointed with this choice.

I had the sea scallops, the brussel sprouts, and the truffle fries. Sea scallops and fries were phenomenal. The brussel sprouts were good. I like mine a little more tender. They are very crunchy. The sauce for the sprouts, I think, was like a sweet vinegary sauce. I would like to try them with a little butter and parmesan added. But still good.

Randomly stopped here for our last lunch in Portland. Quick and friendly service plus the food was pretty good. We got the fried fish sandwich and the salmon blt with the apple cole slaw which was new and interesting for us.

Very good seafood. I’m not a big seafood eater, but figured I should at least have a lobster roll while in Maine, and it was great. The atmosphere was very nice, upscale, but casual dress was completely acceptable. Pricey, but worth it!

We had a great dinner. The service was sincerely the best part. We called ahead to check if they were pet friendly as we planned to bring our dog. Confirmed, they are. 🙂 Last minute we chose to not bring our dog, but not only did the hostess who took our reservation inquire about her, the server knew too! Completely unexpected pleasant surprise. Caitlin (apologies on the spielling) was phenomenal!!!! Friendly, organic conversation and appropriately attentive.

Fantastic seafood directly on the harbor. The seafood sampler is fresh and delicious. The lobster roll is probably one of the very best you can find, with home made mayo and very light seasoning. Cocktails are also fantastic. Service is fast and very friendly. Great place !

We chanced up on this place last day in Portland. We were very fortunate to have found this place. After the usual “let me see if we have a table” we were seated near the bar on a high top.
