This is consistently the worst Long John Silvers I have ever been to. I have not had one satisfactory experience at this location. Average 20 minute wait for anything you order regardless of dine in or drive through. Our family loves Long John’s, so we give it a try once a month on average and are always disappointed. It is worth the drive to the Waterloo location for much faster and more professional service.

Every time I go to your business you give me half my order. It’s literally not that hard to get one simple order correct. Especially when you made me park! You guys need new management who actually care about the success of your business. Your employees clearly have no sense of direction. Each of your meals are supposed to come with 2 hush puppies, though they never do. It’s extremely sad how many times I have to call and complain. And all you offer is a free meal when I come back next. So it can be wrong as well. Literally such a sad business. If I could rate you a zero or a negative it would be.

Waited literally 20 minutes for my food. Didnt notice at first because I was messing on my phone. But I looked up and two cars that were behind me had left the parking lot. One lady had gone in to order also. So I go in and two people asked me if they could help. Said yeah, I’ve been waiting 20 minutes for my food. And they both said oh. I’ll get that. Neither of them went to get it. One made an excuse saying just got off break, (smoking on the sidewalk). Then the manager walks over and he asks. I told him the same. Oh sorry we accidentally gave that to someone else. Okay, why didnt you tell me this while I waited in my truck? He did give me a few extra hush puppies and an extra fish. He is pretty much the reason they even get 1 star……

As someone who some how has never been to long John silvers me and some friends thought we try it. When order the guy was very rude. Told them we had two orders and they just added it all together. Then when we got to the window they had us pull around and wait, usually that means fresh food and I’m okay with it. After about 15 we still didn’t receive our food. I went inside to see what was going on and still had to wait 15 more minutes. That was the worst experience I’ve had at any fast food place. Nothing was fresh and we were missing items that came with our food. I’ll never return to that location again.

I can not tell you what they did to the fish but it was either over cooked, cooked in too hot of oil or they had not changed their oil in a while. The fish actually tasted rancid as well as being tough and hard as cardboard. Maybe they dropped it twice. This is the second time I have had bad food and did not get what I had ordered for sides. I (for the first time ever) took the food back to them and was ignored for the first 5 minutes I was at the counter. Then the manager was rude to me. Now I know why they charge $0.39 to use a debit card. If you pay cash they take the receipt and you no longer have proof that you were even there. All I wanted was my money back. He refused to give it to me and threw everything in the trash. He did offer to put my name on a sheet of paper so that I could get free food the next time I come in. Why would I want to go back to get some more bad food?

I’m very disappointed that they are shutting down LJS. The food they served was terrible. It was small portions, seemed freezer burned, and they made substitutions without letting you know, a KFC biscuit in place of the huspuppies. We couldn’t tell which pieces in our combos were chicken or fish.

My husband and I went here for lunch today havent been in forever and I am pretty sure this was our best decision! As soon as we walked in April greeted us and was extremely patient since I am so indecisive. She made recommendations and made us feel comfortable and laughed with us. The food was fresh and very good. If you happen to go to this location I really hope April helps you too as she will make your day. Seriously thank you April you are awesome!

The battered dip fish was dark therefore the oil it was cooked in was old and need to be changed out. The fish made me sivk to my stomach. The drive thru was too sliw. Someone ahead of me left w;o their order.

The fish at the Cedar Falls location is worth the wait! We don’t have fried fish very often but when we do want it this is where I go. The man who makes the fish does an amazing job! Carefully coating each filet and frying to perfection. No over oiliness on his fish. But because he does it well, it takes time. Wait for it, and then enjoy!
