WINE – BUBBLES
Ashanta “Sankofa”
Roma Apples were gleaned in Occidental, CA on an old, unmaintained family orchard. We spent two days hand picking 1 ton of apples and processed the fruit in Occidental. The juice was fermented in French Neutral Oak, and one barrel was reserved for a Feijoa co-ferment.

We processed the Feijoa’s in West Sonoma County, halving the fruit, scooping out the fillings and blending them into a thick slush. We added the blended fruit to a 14 gallon carboy of fermenting Roma apples and co-fermented it on Feijoa pulp for one week. The juice was separated from the pulp and fermented to 1.5 brix in French neutral Oak, then bottled under cap.

This vintage is ever the more herbal and savory side of pink wine but still has gobs of bright, poppy, almost tropical fruit to it, keeping things juicy and thirst quenching as hell.”

This is the review featuring the Ziti Alla Bandiera photo you’re looking for. It was an interesting choice/experiment, maybe not worth the $17 if you’re hungry. Service was great and the Meatlovers pizza was absolutely delicious. The outside of the restaurant, up to the door is very dirty. It’s a problem of the city of Los Angeles, but I would clean it if this was my business. There’s a really nice outdoor backyard that’s not properly advertised. I had dinner there and I loved it. Great at night when it’s hot.

Quaint corner spot on a busy street! Judging by only the food itself and not the parking & the different fees, I’d say this this is a top notch place. I’ll be honest and say that I loved the meatball dish and wings more than the pizza.

Cosa Buona was the best dining experience we had in LA during our 5 day trip. Make a reservation, because you have to come here and the place fills up within minutes of opening. We we’re lucky to walk in right as they opened and even though we were a big group the owner graciously sat us at the barf with out stroller clearly in the way, but they were very accommodating.

It was good . Nice quaint atmosphere. Good music It’s one of those places that charge for made up fees ; “water donation” and health insurance. So plan on an automatic 5% surcharge . My preference is to just know up front what I’m paying. It’s like a phone bill with a bunch of hidden fees. Service was very nice . Pizza good, not great . I would not go out of my way to go there again but I would be happy if someone invited me. B+

I dined tonight at this Cosa Buona, following a friend’s recommendation, with my service dog and had a poor experience due to the staff’s lack of understanding regarding service animals. Upon arriving, we were directed to sit outside on the patio even though it was cold, despite my informing them that my dog was a service animal. When I specified that my dog is trained to help detect potential dangers to assist me with PTSD, the employee incorrectly insisted that emotional support animals (he’s a service dog) are not allowed indoors at restaurants in California. Though I informed her that this is incorrect and that service animals are permitted indoors, she continued to repeat this misinformation.

I was very excited to try this place after learning that the chef had previously been at Sotto, my favorite LA pizza spot. When we first walked in, it sort of smelled like manure… but maybe we were smelling funky, expensive cheese ‍♀️ We made a reservation through open table and were promptly seated. Our server was nice and let us sample a bit of the Lambrusco before we committed to buying it by the bottle. The wings were fantastic, and the Gorgonzola sauce it came with was the best part. As our main, we ordered the meat lover’s pizza. The crust was delicious and slightly charred; perfect amount of chew. The toppings were okay. I’d like to try the mushroom pizza next time.

Went here with some friends late on a Friday and had some delicious pizza. A pleasant quiet spot that’s good for a date night or a small meet up and has some great food to keep you all busy. The Sicilian pizzas were delicious and honestly would’ve been great to split they were so big. Speedy service, pleasant wait staff and hostess, good vibes for our neighborhood pizzeria.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS !!! Anyone who has resided in the echo park/sunset area for some time, knows that this business is a result of the the displacement of a former business; a former business that was not only displaced—but victim to the unoriginality of the current tenants—who essentially took the prior restaurant’s name/brand. If you want real and authentic Italian food, instead check-out Pizza Buona, it’s only a few blocks down! 922 N Alvarado St Ste C, Los Angeles, CA 90026.
