Valsos Cafe and Bar is an authentic around the world culinary experience located in the heart of Revere, Massachusetts, blocks away from the first public beach in the United States. We have cultivated this menu off of our life experiences, from studying a large array of different cuisines, to even dialing it back to our earliest childhood memories from our grandmothers. The concept at Valsos Café is a fusion of baking goods, tapas, small plates, recipes like the chorizo motañero (mountaineer chorizo), blood sausage, empanadas, among other specialties. We also focus on an artisan cocktail bar always thinking that our guests feel part of this family. Here at Valsos, we make everything from scratch, we pride ourselves in making each moment you

Accidentally ran into this adorable spot. Got a pastry (which staff heated up for me) and frappaccino. Limited English from staff but they were still very helpful and friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Very good cocktails and excellent service. We had the picada para dos, which was a perfect snack for a party of four.

The drinks were amazing! But, unfortunately, their food tastes just okay. The prices of their food doesn’t reflect the quality. We may come back for drinks only.

A nice spot to take a coffee if you live in the area, but the food is to expensive for the quality. The staff didn’t speak English but were polite and kind. I really liked the Mojito though. Really really tasty.

Stranded in Boston after aborted travel experiences + weather, we sought a restaurant near our hotel and Valsos popped up. What a piece of luck! We had an extraordinary lunch of several tapas, including a daily special crab cake, meatballs with whipped ricotta, and prosciutto with puffed bread and goat cheese spread. (I am not doing justice to these amazing dishes.) Service was gracious, and we loved the charming atmosphere of this small restaurant. If we lived here, we would be regulars (so many tempting menu items!) and we will definitely be back next time we are in the area. VALSOS is a major treasure!!!

Go check out this new hip Columbian spot just blocks from Revere Beach. I started off with the “Despacito” (Dark Rum, Cream of Coconut, Cinnamon and Bocadillo Syrup) It was delicious. I also tried the beef empanada and chicken pasteles, both were good. Then I tried the fried plantain cups stuffed with guacamole and shrimp, they were so good. I also tried the coconut breaded shrimp and the Pina colada sauce that it came with was really good too. They have a big selection of home made desserts, I tried the tiramisu it was great. The customer service was excellent. The place is small, only a few tables inside and a small bar area but they also have an outdoor patio for when the weather gets nicer.

Stopped in at 6am for a coffee and got 2 empenadas as well. The empenadas were fantastic, and the coffee was great. Not only is the food good, but they’re one of the only places open early enough.
