First time to eat at this restaurant in Lancaster. The fried catfish was very good. My husband enjoyed his gyro. Restaurant is old, but clean. I enjoyed the staff and service. Portions are impressive, Our waitress Emily advised us that the fried clams and shrimp servings were very large. We were concerned, because we saw huge plates of food. Free hot hush puppies while we waited. Too full for dessert. Good value for those on a budget.

Whole chunks of spices cracks between your teeth served in a dish with a large crack/chip. I asked the waiter if they had jambalaya and she said yes. She didn’t say I had to wait 40 min to get it. She also didn’t give me the option for rice or grits nor did she ask if I wanted another drink after I had finished mine. Got utterly bland macaroni salad.

The restaurant decor is a little dated but their food was excellent. The shrimp and scallops were fresh and deep fried to perfection. The hush puppies, fries, and baked potato were just as good. The price of dinner was more than fair. We’ll be returning for dinner again soon.

They open at 11am. Got there at 11:15am and waited 10 minutes at the host stand, no one came. I said hello multiple times. I could hear a black lady in the back complaining about life. Not going back. Catawba fish camp is better.

My mom went to this place yesterday and hasn’t shut up about it yet. She was craving fish and apparently their fish sandwich was all her dreams plus more fries than she could handle. The workers were friendly and kind and made her day and week.

It was our first, and last, visit to this restaurant. While waiting for our table we saw a dead roach on the floor. The rest of our party decided to stay because they had been told the food was really good. The food was okayish. For the price point it was an extremely large amount of food. The server was not a selling point for the restaurant. While she was fairly pleasant when speaking, she did not bring drink refills or anything else needed once the food was brought. I understand being busy, or perhaps shorthanded, but the other servers seemed to manage their tables very well.

We had a lot of issues here. My pasta had hair in it, my dad’s frog legs were raw, and my mom’s chicken was way over cooked and dry. The bathrooms were pretty nasty. We never got a refill on drinks. The hostess hardly spoke a word while we paid. Unfortunately we don’t plan on going back.
