We got to the restaurant a little earlier but we did not wait that long. Hafid the asst manager was kind enough to seat us outside which has a nice view of the beach and the pool below. Service was very good and food was good as usual. I have been to the Orchard in East Brunswick so I know the food is going to be good. Highly recommended! And thanks to Hafid for the nice service!!

We recently booked an event at Drifthouse for a cocktail party with open bar for 18 people. It was amazing. Penny, the events coordinator, was wonderful to work with and went out of her way to make the night special. The wait staff was excellent, and the food and drinks were nothing short of wonderful. It was a friday night and the band was outstanding. I would def reccommend booking your next party at Drifthouse!

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots! The restaurant made sure to make us feel special with a hand written card waiting for us on our table. The food was amazing especially the lobster bisque (the best we’ve ever had). We loved the live music and the view all made for a great night out! Would definitely recommend!

Had dinner tonight to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. The food and drinks were very good unfortunately 2 things put a damper on the overall dining experience. The first thing was probably uncontrollable but still bothered me. There were a lot of flies in the restaurant, which made it tough to enjoy our food. A manager stopped by our table, I mentioned the flies to her. She explained they had a large party earlier and the people in this party left the deck door open. She did apologize and shared they planned to address the flies tomorrow morning. I wanted to say to her ” this doesn’t do me any good since I am eating dinner in your restaurant tonight” but I held my tongue. The other thing which put a damper on our dining experience was something which was controllable. My girlfriend’s daughter ordered the Scallops & Octopus over Parmesan Risotto, which she said was tasty but was lacking something. It was lacking Octopus especially since the dish cost $44 and there was only 1 small piece of Octopus. Why have a Scallop and Octopus dish on the menu if you are only going to put 1 small piece of Octopus in the dish. It would have made more sense to have a dish with only Scallops and include another Scallop. There were only 3 Scallops so she was a little disappointed with the dish.

First off, compared to other places typically on the shore, this restaurant is great. The vibes were slightly dressy but honestly we went straight from the beach and it was totally fine. I have mixed feelings about the food because there were some courses that were so good and some that just fell flat. I think the conclusion my friend and I came to is that it’s worth it to get the prix fixe menu, but really not worth paying the a la carte prices. For example the standalone lobster & shrimp scampi was good but pasta itself wasn’t that special.. Off the prixe fixe menu, the egg yolk ravioli was amazingly delectable, but the market fish was just okay for me. Even in dessert, the chocolate mousse cake was great but the tiramisu lacking. Also the mushroom side should get a special mention as it was a side but still one of our favorites!

We just hosted a baby shower this past weekend at Drifthouse. Penny the Event Coordinator was amazing throughout the planning process. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The room itself was beautifully decorated and set up perfectly for our needs. The staff was helpful, friendly and hardworking. I would have given 5 stars but the temperature in the room was warm and they couldn’t seem to get it cool enough. Everyone was fanning themselves and the mom to be was obviously uncomfortable. Also, clearing of tables between courses and empty glasses was spotty. That being said, these minor inconveniences would not stop me from eating there again and I would have another party at Drifthouse in the future.

The Beach Club Restaurant & Bar was once a great place to work until ownership change. Since then, things have gone downhill rapidly. Not only did they fire most of their experienced staff members without notice, but they also allowed disrespectful behavior towards employees and customers alike. One particularly shocking incident involved the current owner, Bill Stavola, coming onto my underage daughter while he was intoxicated after working hours. This type of behavior cannot go ignored and we must take appropriate actions to protect our loved ones.

Every time I walk into drifthouse I’m greeted by the nicest hostesses. Bartenders are super friendly and great conversationalists. Bussers are quick and efficient and servers are attentive and really care about their customers. The manager Hafid is always so nice to me and I feel at home when I’m in their care. I love this restaurant.

Had the trifecta of a good evening. The recent renovations have given the atmosphere the charge it needed. Food was was stellar. I had the lobster pot pie. Great flavor! To top it off, the service from Madison at the bar is one of a kind! Really happy to see drift house is back in a powerhouse position.
