Located on the Atlanta Beltline in Madison Yards, Taqueria Tsunami is a Latin-Asian fusion restaurant specializing in tacos, rice bowls, salads, appetizers, quesadillas and cocktails.
Taqueria Tsunami Madison Yards will soon feature a full service bar offering rotating craft beer, wine, sangria and signature cocktails and margaritas (we are awaiting our liquor license, which has been delayed due to Covid city closures).
The outdoor patio sits adjacent to the Atlanta Beltline and is complete outdoor seating and a fire pit.

I tried the Aloha taco, and it is the BEST taco I’ve ever had anywhere (so far)! I ordered one but should have ordered like 3. The chips and queso were delicious as well. The service was good, quick, and the place was clean. The prices are very reasonable for a dine-in restaurant with a bar. They have in-door and outdoor seating. I’ve driven past this place numerous times. I’m glad I decided to give it a try.

The service was fast but I was a little sad about the bowl i ordered. I went with a steak south of the border bowl and there were only 6 small pieces of steak and all of this rice 🙁 The prices make sense, but I just feel like from a nutritional standpoint this is not balanced at all and it feels un-proportional. The appetizers were good.

Today had to be the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had eating here. I’ve come here numerous times and never had the experience I did today. Firstly my guacamole was not fresh it had brown spots and just not good . The wonton chips tasted stale. But I didn’t complain about it but here comes the worst part I order empanadas and they weren’t fresh and had hair on them. I asked for a manager and the guy they sent out had to be the worst of them all I explained I was pregnant I couldn’t eat and they weren’t fresh and had hair . He had the most unbelievable attitude and insincere response about how the empanadas were made in the morning and if I had them replaced it was going to be the same batch . Then had the nerve to have all these unnecessary hand gestures rushing me to see if I wanted anything else . No apologies no can I compensate you nothing . I will never come here again and will tell others not to eat here they lost a customer of 4 years.

Decided on lunch here, the atmosphere was quiet and the restaurant was clean. We were greeted upon entry and there was no wait at all. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout our dining experience. I wanted to try the Korean fried cauliflower but there were out, huge disappointment which is why I gave them a 4 instead of a 5. I ended up ordering the avocado cilantro eggs rolls and some mini poke tacos. The eggrolls were crispy and creamy. It was served with a sweet and spicy sauce and sante fe ranch. It pairs better with the ranch in my opinion. You will receive 4 halves. The tacos were mini as described and the tuna is cut in little cubes served in a crispy taco shell. The spicy mayo is drizzled on the outside and the soy sesame adds a nice flavor which makes the tuna somewhat juicy when you bite into it. Nice place for lunch!

We sat at the bar for a quick bite. Clearly the 2 bartenders did not get along. The fact that the one didn’t understand the difference between tall and short and held up the glasses to ask me which is tall, embarrassing for him. We ordered queso that didn’t get put in. 2nd attempt, we got guacamole! Out of ingredients to make their Elderflower Paloma, the female bartender had a solution and it was excellent; she gets another star.

This was my first time visiting this place and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The “tempura shrimp taco” was really good. In addition, my friend got the “south of the border w/ shrimp” meal which looked amazing. I will have to try that next time. The drink was on point, too. It was sweet-just how I like it. Service was great as well. I will definitely go back.
