They have only been open one week, so maybe things will improve. Atmosphere and ambience was great. We sat outside. Note for those in wheel chairs: At the time I posted this, outside dining is NOT ADA compliant. The tables are raised with bar height seating. No other seating is available outside. Food was okay and has potential if served timely with the complete order and not cold. We ordered the brisket with 2 sides (baked beans and tots). The brisket had a good flavor, but arrived cold and the rolls were never brought out. It was a fatty cut of brisket versus lean. If you have a preference, you might want to mention when ordering. The baked beans and tater tots tasted great. Our server never came back to check on us regarding the food or drink refills. We had to flag another server down and ask for the rolls, but by this time we had almost finished the brisket and sides. Our server never came back to give us our check, so after waiting ten minutes after we dined, we went in and asked the manager for the check so we could pay. He apologized and asked the server to get it while we were standing there. We hadn’t said anything about the cold brisket or rolls, and did not intend too since we knew it was their opening week and they were ironing things out. Then the lead manager asked us how the food was. We decided to give him our feedback. We told him the food was cold, the rolls didn’t arrive till after we were almost done and we were never checked on regarding our food or by the server. Keep in mind the manager asked us for our opinion of the food. We wouldn’t have said anything otherwise and not return to the establishment. The manager said, “I’m very sorry. Are you staying at the Hotel Del?” I replied “no”. Managers reply, “ok. Well I’m sorry. I hope you come back and dine with us again” and promptly turned his back on us and walked away to a spot in the corner where he resumed watching the restaurant. It very well may not have been meant that way… but it definitely felt like classism. Why would he ask us if we stayed at the hotel and then when we said no, treat us so abruptly AFTER asking us our opinion of the food? For that matter why should it even matter if we were staying at the hotel or not? Combined with some of the worst service we have received, we will not be returning.

This place just opened and is amazing. The staff is friendly and has great suggestions. It’s a really relaxed atmosphere like a brewhouse in Seattle with dogs and a shuffle board. The coleslaw blew my socks off – and I don’t usually love coleslaw. The corn fritters are on a bed of smoked carrot purée with queso that is savory, a little salty and too good to be true. I love bbq chicken and this was probably the best I’ve had. Brisket is great, all the sauces are fun and different and worthy of their own testimonial. The baked beans taste like they’ve been laboring all day in smokey goodness but still have a good bite.

I really wanted this place to be a hit but it just wasn’t. It was ok. It has an industrial warehouse feel to it. Was hoping for some good bbq but it just wasn’t it. The carrots were good the slaw lacked flavor it was bland and the meat was a bit dry. Their version of the flan dessert was more of a dry cheesecake with stale caramel popcorn on top.

Very good bbq! Couldn’t believe they had just opened bc the service and food were great. Had the brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, pretzel and tater tots. We wanted a to go order (which they don’t do) to have on the beach. They kindly let me order and brought some to go boxes out w the meal so I could take with. Staff was very efficient and kind. A great, casual addition the The Del. Will be back!

Honestly very disappointing food. It did not look like the pictures at all. No flavor, very plain. We didn’t get a set of rolls. Our server was nice, yet the manager was dismissive when we said the chicken was raw. Very overpriced for what we got.
