In between my spa clients, because my spa is walking distance in the streets of woodfield I decided to get tacos here for lunch. I usually get the Sofritas Tacos, when I don’t feel like getting the chicken. Can’t go wrong with choosing chipotle!

This Chipotle Mexican Grill was the closest one to me to pick up food from, I was able to order using the application and it was going to be ready in about fifteen minutes. I arrived and there is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant, and as I walked in, there is a sign to let you know to put a face mask. The line was shot but since I ordered ahead my food was ready on the shelf. I grabbed my food and left right away. The entire process was easy and fast. I think there were people eating in but I just wanted to go. If I am in the area I will order from here again, free parking, fast service.

This visit reinforced my belief that Chipotle will be announcing bankruptcy in the next 5 years. 1.5 hours before close on a Saturday night and they are decidedly out of: all lemonades, all teas, all drink garnishes, all side bottles of sauce, corn, sour cream, cheese, AND lettuce (but they conveniently wait to tell you until you are halfway through ordering, and won’t give you any sort of discount or replacement for their lack of preparation/eagerness to close.). If I wanted to spend $15 for rice and beans, I’d go to a grocery store and get enough to feed an entire favela for a month. Coincidentally, the Chipotle app still showed ALL of those ingredients as being available though… Apparently, a food delivery is expected SUNDAY morning for them to finish out the weekend, but how do you mess up inventory that bad when this location has over a decade’s worth of customer data (not to mention paying premium for a weekend delivery on what should be a standard weekly order)? Why even bother staying open when you so clearly do NOT want to serve customers? We went 5 mins up the street to another Chipotle that was bringing out hot and fresh food as we walked in, and every ingredient on the line was fully stocked. Why can’t this location also be capable of the bare minimum?

Unfortunately, I have to update my rating to a severely low 1 star. My most recent visit 4/19 was rather disappointing. The staff decided to close off the bathrooms so that was inconvenient and is unacceptable. More than a handful but not all, of the Chipotle team were gathered in a circle just chilling and conversing. As someone in the food industry myself, the professional outlook was out the door and their demeanor was unprofessional. During our visit, we also encountered young teens entering the establishment thinking it’s okay to bring toy guns aiming and pretending to shoot at one another. Respectfully, the manager and staff should have not tolerated or allowed this. I personally felt triggered and offended so I removed myself, but it’s obviously unacceptable when the rest of my party felt compelled to inform the manager about it. At this hour, the staff were gathered in the dining area just conversing and were very much aware of the encounter. However, that just might be me and I am someone who is professional, mindful and respectful of others. I hope to see a positive change in the near future if I so choose to return to this location. All in all, I felt it was necessary the internet be aware of my experience. Frankly, no one should ever have to experience what my group and I experienced. Sending all love and positive vibes to this management and staff team, please do better!

4 stars on average? I guess we showed up on the 1 star day. 03/11/23. We didn’t know where the tables started and the floor ended. Whether you sat at a table or on the floor you wouldn’t be able to distinguish the two. What a dump, peaked around the corner to see what the workers were doing. Getting their daily tik tok intake on their phone. The employee cleaned off our tables thankfully but left the rest of the place like a grenade went off. There’s barely anyone in the dining area. Time to lean? Time to clean.
