The food was okay, but not worth the price. The concept was fun to be able to cook your own protein to your liking. I enjoyed the sauces as well. The sides were nothing special and were all small portions. The mac and cheese was bland and was obviously not house-made. The tiki theme was geared more for families and not for fine dining, which the prices reflected. Our waitress was nice, but the wine glasses originally brought to our table were dirty and we had ask for clean glasses. That made us nervous about what else might not have been washed. There are so many other options in the area, we probably will not return.

The food was really good. Appetizers had good flavor, though they were small portions Steaks had good flavor and were well seasoned. If you do not like to wait for your food, don’t come here. There were long waits for food and refills and you are required to cook your own entree. Seafood was also well seasoned. The tuna was fishy. Great atmosphere, but need to work on service.

This place was interesting! The concept was different from anything I’ve ever seen. You have to cook your own food, which I thought was different and was up for the experience. A little pricey, considering you’re doing the work lol but nonetheless neat. Portions were rather small for the price, as well. Overall a cool experience but if I were in town again, I’d probably not go back.

Food was subpar. After being seated, the wait was actually a bit much which was confusing since we are cooking our own food. I thought they’d have someone with us to help us through it since we had never been, but the server just put food down and told us to flip our steaks every two mins.

This was my first time ever going to Hot Rocks and my first time cooking your own food at your table. My wife and I ordered the 12oz ribeye steaks that were seasoned to perfection. Our server brought out the hot rocks that are 750° with the steaks already searing. I like my steak medium so mine cooked in 7 to 8 minutes. My wife likes her steak well done so she needed two stones. The service is impressive. The food was awesome. I only wish that you got a larger portion of the sides with your meal.

New experience cooking my own steak at my table. Got the 10-oz ribeye with mashed potatoes & broccoli. It comes with some tasty dipping sauces for different options. Service was pretty good & the restaurant interior was cool looking with bamboo decor. Don’t know if I would choose it again over another steak place, but it was a pretty cool experience overall.

Great restaurant the service and food was amazing. This was our second time an we will be returning. We picked our cut of meat and sides and cooked it at the table on a lava rock. The drinks are great as well. A must try for the dells.

Awesomely fun!! One of my favorite dining experiences ever. Our server was amazing, you can call your server to table at the push of a button (although we never needed too)…..I’m not sure what was better the drinks or the food

This was an amazing experience! I’ve worked in this industry for 3 decades and I’ve cooked, served and traveled to many restaurants in that time. This by far, was one of the BEST experiences I’ve ever had. Most people go out to eat to be waited on, have someone else cook their meal and clean-up. In this case, You receive most of the traditional services of dining out, however, You cook your choice of meat at the table. We chose the NY Strip and 2 sides each. The sides are prepared by the kitchen, but you are in control of the rest. Now, even though I’ve gone to Culinary school, you do not need to be a qualified chef to cook your meat. This concept is fun and entertaining for kids and adults alike. The atmosphere is perfect with the Tiki Island vibe, the call button at your table, tasty sides and service with a smile. The price was reasonable for this type of dining experience. We were staying at Natura Treescape resort, across the street and arrived later than expected. We were looking for dinner options and because we were staying at the resort, we received 10% off of our meal with our room key card. Close, convenient and in a class of its own. This a MUST TRY if you’re visiting the Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton area. We will be back!!

Went here on my vacation and ordered the lamb medallions, the food was great, the atmosphere was so cool, felt like I was on a tropical vacation, the service was great too! I would definitely recommend. The experience is unique too as your food comes out on a lava stone still cooking, and you can cook to your liking, I would totally recommend this place!!
