Charlotte’s is delighted to introduce Carlo James Barroso (C.J.) as our new Head Chef. Hailing from the Philippines, C.J. developed his culinary skills at a young age, standing on a stool to reach the stove. With 15 years of experience at top-notch restaurants in NYC and recently working with a private family in the Hudson Valley, he brings a wealth of expertise to our kitchen.

C.J. combines traditional American cooking techniques with flavors inspired by the Mediterranean and the Americas. His culinary philosophy revolves around utilizing fresh, local, and seasonal farm-to-table ingredients. With his deep passion for cooking, easy-going attitude, and immense talent, C.J. is an ideal addition to the Charlotte’s.

Delicious food with that made-from-scratch authenticity. Lovely rustic décor including a paint job purposely designed to appear worn. Numerous fine wines and ports, plus domestic and imported beer in bottles. Mahogany bar with two tables, otherwise there is a dining room with around seven tables. There is also a room for special catered events. Idyllic garden with a spectacular view to the adjoining ranch, which must make for pleasant al fresco dining in season. Bathrooms nicely decorated, and there is fast wi-fi. Parking out front.

Nothing is better than being served a meal in this serene quiet garden with the sunsetting in the horizon. I ordered the burrata tomato salad with just the right amount of burrata, one of my favorites followed by the veal short ribs with a tasty sauce and fresh vegetables. The staff are charming and are always right there when you need them. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Went here for mother’s day with my 2 sons 6 and 3. Food was awesome and ambiance was great as well. Only downside was our poor server had too many tables and while she was running around with her head cut off, there was a huge wait for our main dish to be cleared and dessert ordered. Also didn’t ask to refill drinks much. Other than that it was great. Will try again.

Dining at Charlotte’s is a memorable experience, from the country inn setting, warmly decorated, wood paneled bar and the garden courtyard to the creative and well executed menu. We thoroughly enjoyed the crab cake appetizer, and the duck breast and double cut pork chop entrées both prepared perfectly to our specifications. Desert was a decadent house made caramel (BACON) ice cream.
