When I am working in the Glenarden area, this is my wine-down spot. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping area with plenty of free parking close to the eatery. The atmosphere is very calm and inviting. The staff is very attentive and the food is always good. I enjoyed the shrimp appetizer, ribs and then rotisserie chicken. First time dining here – it was Saturday evening, atmosphere was impeccable, nice ambiance and vibe overall – live pianist playing throughout the evening. The menu was extensive, we ordered skillet cornbread, crab cakes, ribs, and the Rasta pasta – all were delicious – for cocktails peach flowers and a tequila Paloma! However the server was not the best but the food and establishment was amazing! I will return just not sit in the section where a certain server was responsible for but do try this establishment if you are looking for a great meal, and nice establishment!

The hostess was a bit underwhelming in customer service. I know it was busy, you got to pretend you want to work there! The food came out real fast… almost too fast to be honest. I hope they are not microwaving food back there! The server was nice and attentive. The meatloaf was delicious though not really hot. The mashed potatoes were hotter than the meatloaf. They could also turn up the lights a little. It was like walking into a cave in there. Seriously.

My wife and I finally made our way to this restaurant for an early dinner. We have heard great things about this place for years. The food, service, and atmosphere did not disappoint. The menu has a good variety of foods for every taste bud and picky eater (my wife). We were seated within 5 minutes and immediately greeted by our waitress. She was very friendly and recommended some great dishes. She also asked about food allergies (I’m allergic to tree nuts) and made sure the food we ordered contained no nuts. We appreciated this small detail and safety. The food came out within 10 minutes and was really good. Overall great experience from start to finish and highly recommend this place. Will come back again to try new drinks and dishes.

First timers!! Reservations for Father’s Day. Arrived 20 mins prior and was seated right away! A slight mishap with my husband drink but the manager apologized and took care of it right away. Our server Darren G was great. He was knowledgeable of the menu items and attentive. The food was served hot and with no issues. Will be returning

This is my first time dinning at this restaurant. I am underwhelmed and would not return. If ask by friends, family, or colleagues I would recommend a different dinning establishment. I ordered a chicken sandwich which should be a safe choice. Yet it wasn’t. The sandwich lacked favor and by the time it reached the table it was room temperature. I asked for a beverage straw and barbecue sauce yet by the time the items reached the table not only was the sandwich cold but my husband had finished his meal. In these most difficult economic times dining experiences should be exceptional yet this experience was subpar. I paid my bill, left the customery 20% tip and did not complain.

We got the Fiesta Eggrolls (absolutely delicious), not sure why the lettuce is a garnish but the tortilla strips were a delicacy of their own! Got the Peartini to drink with emphasis on the “tini”.. could have been more balanced but it was good. Tried the Crab Cake Sandwich, it was a little dry but all in all with the choice of bread and toppings, I would try something different on the menu besides this. The meatloaf was very flavorful and a good wholesome meal, the sautéed spinach could’ve used a little more salt. I would recommend and would try again.

I recently visited a restaurant to celebrate a friend’s retirement. The restaurant is spacious and has a great atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive. As starters, we had calamari and chips with spinach/artichoke dip, which we all loved. However, one of the dishes was cold and not to the liking of one of the guests, but she quickly replaced it. I enjoyed Mojito cocktails, while my friends ordered various entrees such as shrimp & grits, rattlesnake pasta, Eastern shore crab cakes, seared ahi tuna salad, chicken pot pie, and short smoked Atlantic salmon. Despite the slightly high prices, the entrees were big enough to share, and we had no complaints about the food quality.

Godden Garden
We sat at the Bar & waited to be seated. The bar was ok. We finally got seated & seen a whole different drink menu & we wish we’d seen this menu while sitting at the bar because the bar menu didn’t have the variety of drinks that was in that drink book at the dining table. I ordered a crab cake sandwich but was brought out the more expensive crab cake dish. I’m sure the waiter misunderstood me and put in the wrong order. My order was changed to the correct order. We also had the Chef Special of the day which was Red Snapper & he said it wasn’t Red Snapper. ( Idk but hopefully it was or else it didn’t really taste like it) the seasoning on the fish was bland and a little cold in the middle. The hostess and staff were professional. The atmosphere was decent. Lit candles and a Live live band playing was pretty cool. Might consider coming back again.
