I rarely leave reviews, but this Italian restaurant was too good of an experience to not share with everyone. The service was great and very welcoming. It smelled great walking in and taste even better. The freshness of the clams and flavor is some of the best Italian food I have have in a while. Definitely will be coming back every time I visit San Diego.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Venetian. This spot tucked away in Point Loma is a hidden gem for amazing Italian cuisine in San Diego. I made a reservation in advance online, and we were seated right away in a comfy booth. It was pretty busy on a Friday night, but the service was quick and friendly. We started off with free garlic bread which tasted homemade. For an appetizer, we split a caesar salad which was dressed to perfection and was honestly one of the best I have had in San Diego. For my entree, I got the shrimp scampi which was HEAVENLY. The crispy butterflied shrimp on top of thin linguini and buttery sauce created impeccable layers of flavor. My boyfriend got the chicken parm, and that was even better than the shrimp scampi! Fresh ingredients masterfully crafted here – some of the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy! Definitely recommend for your next date night or special occasion.

I didn’t know what to expect coming here after seeing mixed reviews and pictures of the restaurant from the outside and limited street parking, I contemplated going inside until deciding to take a chance. Definitely the best choice dining here!! The servers are kind and attentive. While it may be a bit overpriced the food is absolutely delicious and filling. The clam and mussel’s with cream sauce is worth ordering. I will definitely be back!

Came here for the first time and have been living in the OB area for about 3 years now. Natively from Jersey. Food was good. Not great, but good. Service was very friendly and timely so all the thumbs up for such! Interior is outdated and definitely needs touching up. Prices were the biggest problem though. I know San Diego is more expensive than Jersey but the price for the food was way above what it should be, portions aside. Would I say the price is worth biting for the service? That is purely up to the individual. But in my fair assessment it could be 10 bucks cheaper for some of the options and I would justify it. All In all just ok. But if i am going to get ok then I should pay an ok price range.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in San Diego! We visited the Venetian restaurant last week and had an amazing pizza and experience. Our waiter, Quinlan, remembered us from our visit three weeks prior and actually remembered the subtleties of how we liked our pizza cooked. Quinlan did everything to make our recent trip perfect. His assistant, Beto, also remembered us and was super friendly once again.

We ate here a week ago on a Saturday around 2pm. The portions were gigantic, the Manicotti in particular could have fed 2 people on its own. The Veal Marsala was somewhat disappointing, it was breaded and the actual veal itself was thin compared to the bread. It ended up being over $30 per person and I would have like it if they reduced the portions and charged less per main course.
