At our Charleston, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Didn’t go inside, but it looked clean and well lit. We could tell they waited until we ordered to prepare our food. There was a wait in the drive-through to order and then receive our order, but again, they didn’t prepare food until we ordered, and there were cars in front of us, so that would explain the short wait. Overall great experience.

I told myself today if I had any issues with my food being fried to hard or missing any items that this would be my last time coming to this location. Well today my order was cooked just right everything looked good & had a great fresh taste. I was informed by the new manager that he has all new employees & the inside will be open back up next week. They will continue to get my business, I definitely see the improvement.

The inside was very dirty the floor was so greesy I was hard to walk without slipping and sliding . The grout joints on the floor were packed with filth . You would think with the inside closed for all that time they would try to clean it floor needs a good steem cleaning. The ac duck work in the ceiling is sweating causing moldy ceiling tiles. I like the food hope something can be done about this. Sorry telling it like it is.

Lobby was closed, so sitting and dining in was not possible. Made my order for 5 people and only received 4 of the five. However, I wasn’t charged for my first order, which was left off the total because the lady taking order didnt hear the first order placed, and I had to reorder at the drive-through. $80 to feed 5 people, 4 deluxe seafood platters, and a chicken and fish plate. All drinks cost extra and is not included in the meal order. The food was good, and the hush-puppies were great. Check out Captin D’s and grab some seafood, but don’t expect to sit at enjoy your meal, drive through may be your only option.

This restaurant should not be on delivery websites. ALWAYS misses order notes although the website is easy to use for ordering with detailed drop down menus (Uber eats and Doordash). No condiments, no tarter, no cocktail sauce, no malt vinegar. Oh, and 10 shrimp instead of 15 as specified and ordered. I gave them more than 3 chance a. Never returning or recommending

Just went on my lunch break to grab food for myself & my assistant wish I listened to my first mind and checked my bag… big mistake ask the guy Kyle at the window did I have 2 loaded baked potatoes he said yes needless to say we got one loaded baked potatoes with the meal paid $4.39 plus tax for one we didn’t get also asked for a sweet tea & my assistant got a Starry a wasted of $2.89 plus tax & of course no one will answer there phone!!!!
