Food was good other than the gumbo. Being a local, I can’t even begin to describe how wrong that gumbo was. I think there was grilled chicken in it. The rice was hard as well. I would return here as I would like to try other menu offerings as everything else we ate was delicious. The Chicken biscuit and the Boudin Grilled Cheese was excellent. Service was a little slow for not being that busy.

Very good, grits were perfect. Service was fantastic. We got the boudin stuffed beignets, shrimp and grits, and grilliads and grit. According to a few locals, the hamburgers are mighty fine too.

Best shrimp and grits that they’ve put on the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus (because there’s never a bad time for shrimp and grits)! My husband also licked his plate of chicken fried steak and over easy eggs!

Everything was just meh and I felt like it was overpriced for what you get. My hubby said the fries were soggy. Gumbo wasn’t very good and had sliced chicken in it that looked grilled. Weird. The bloody mary was ok and the boudin egg rolls were ok too. Waitress wasn’t great. Loved the musicians that were playing though.

What a delightful local dapple! Whatever you order…grits are a must! I had the chicken biscuit with homemade white sausage gravy and it was pure magic. Pineapple mimosas could of only been better if they had been bottomless.

Traveled from Texas, stopped here to eat. Its an old, historic and distinguished building, very cool atmosphere. The food was well prepared and delicious. My kids are somewhat picky eaters, but here they ate it ALL.

We went to this place in a good mood on a beautiful Sunday morning. We walked in and waited to be seated, as the sign indicated. Ironically, after being seated we never stopped waiting. We then tried to make excuses for the staff never acknowledging us yet it became crystal clear. First, we were the only people of color there. Every waitress interacted with each assigned table in the restaurant. They checked on tables behind us, in front of us and on the side of us. Still we sat with only menus and no water nearly 20 minutes. Before finally leaving, we asked the greeter for a manager only to be asked “why” twice. We will never go to this place again as they OBVIOUSLY do not cater to all patrons.

I had the most amazing time! I loved the food, the service was incredible, everyone was so friendly and the wait staff made quick work with our drinks and orders. 10/10 would go again, my friends are going to get tired of me recommending this place.

This has to be the best brunch place in Acadiana. I’m just visiting, but nothing else we’ve visited has compared. The grits were just how I love them. Rare to find without being greasy or buttery. (They do offer the buttery ones). Saturday and Sunday they have bottomless mimosas, which my friend loved.

When I walked in I felt I would really like this place. Cool environment, a guy in the corner playing violin singing Cajun music, and an interesting menu. I had the Cochon’s Pork Skin Nachos. It sounded really unique but many of the skins ended up very soggy by the time we got them. Not very much pulled pork either. It just wasn’t executed well. Maybe put the skins in a circle and the pulled pork in the middle instead of on top. Or maybe in a bowl. Next I had the Chicken Bayou Tech. It was described as a chicken breast stuffed with sausage. I imagined a whole breast stuffed with fresh sausage that was not in a casing. It actually was chicken breast that was thinly cut about 1/4 inch thick and wrapped around a smoked link of sausage. So essentially only the chicken needed to be cooked. Sadly it was so overcooked I had trouble eating it. I only ate the sausage. Not to mention there was a bacon and cheese cream sauce on top, which you would think now how could that be bad. SALT! Way to salty. Even if I tried to eat the chicken the salt prevented me from eating it. And I have a high tolerance and love to salt my food. Next I had the Bread pudding. It was just ok. It was still pretty cold and just wasn’t special at all. Very dense and borderline dry. To top off the whole experience was the service. It was a late lunch and it we pretty much is and another table. The food came out extremely slow and we had to look for the server for drinks more than once and again when we finished the meal to get the checks. I really wanted to like it more but it just wasn’t a great experience.
