Los Muertos Urban Kitchen & Cantina is inspired by the ancestors who have passed, but are still here with us in spirit. In particular, a very important family member within our own family. Let’s not only celebrate these people on day of the dead, but every day!

First of all, I like to read previous reviews before writing my own. Some chick a couple reviews down ACTUALLY said the menu was tricky to understand at first so she gave them 4 stars due to that. Like WHAT?!?! It’s an authentic Mexican restaurant. Learn the language lady or ask questions. Jeez. ANYWHOO, this place is amazing in terms of food, customer service, decor AND price. I’ve eaten at many Mexican restaurants here in town and I love this one a lot. We had Javier as our server! He is a great asset to this business for sure and made our experience memorable. Hire more like him! The patio is where we are sitting as I currently write this review. It’s quiet and beautiful with great music consisting of hit Spanish artists in the background. I recommend the carnitas, pastor and the Albina for you bacon/grease lovers. Also, I must touch on the sangria. Not many places can make a good sangria and I got to say, TRY this one. Ok I can keep writing but this is getting long. Summary: great food, great drinks and great people. 100% recommend.

Of note: I’m a vegetarian and giving this review from a vegetarian perspective. They do not have many vegetarian options, and their rice is cooked with chicken broth, so anything with rice is not vegetarian-friendly. It doesn’t say this anywhere on the menu though – I wish the menu was marked with which items are vegetarian (otherwise you’re relying on the server to tell you, who may not always know). But once I found something to eat and they swapped out the rice, the food was pretty good! Margaritas also were good but a little bit on the pricey side.

One of the only actual Mexican food in Fort Collins, and certainly the best of it. Any of the choices you won’t be disappointed with, and the staff is ALWAYS so kind and helpful! They host many events that are super fun as well

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Fort Collins, tucked away in a strip mall on the West side of town. It’s super casual, family-owned and operated, with fun décor, attentive & personable servers, and authentic Mexico City style food that is different from the typical Tex-Mex fare that you tend to find in Colorado. If you’re after a chill vibe and have a somewhat adventurous culinary spirit or familiarity with this type of Mexican food, this is a place you need to check out. Their hibiscus tacos, mole sauce, and jalapeno margaritas were particular stand-outs on our initial visit. We intend to go back soon to experience more of what their unique menu has to offer. Overall, great experience!

Rodrigo (Rocky) is the owner and he is there everyday to make sure your food is authentic Mexico City cuisine. Chile Rellenos are the best in town. Happy hour drink specials daily starting at 2 pm. My house margarita was very good. My first experience was an excellent lunch meal. Have had very good tacos and enchiladas verdes for dinner since then. Downgrading my initial review by one star. The service and style is not very professional or inviting. Waiter brings water cups stacked on top of a large bottle. Doesn’t bother to pour the water into the cheap plastic glasses. More or less drops the chips on the table. Weird and unpleasant pork rind looking things served in a plastic oval tray with a plastic sauce packer are there when you start dinner with no explanation of what these things are. Bar seats are flimsy and cheap looking. In the front a woman is flipping tortillas on a hot plate…but why? No idea who gets to eat those tortillas although I saw people eating them. Not an impressive dining experience which is a shame given that the food is well prepared and authentic.

This place is dank! Javier took care of us and brought us these tasty Mexican Candy Shots to go along with the chips and delicious salsa. There was also live music on the Saturday evening we visited. Our group had a mix of items including several different tacos and a dish made with pumpkin seed mole. The guacamole is made fresh right before your eyes and we can’t wait to come back.

Finally! We found a Mexican restaurant comparable to our favorite one in California! The food is incredible, the service is top notch and the restaurant theme is fun! We cannot wait for the patio to open for the spring/summer! Their Enchiladas Mexicanas are a great first meal to order because you get the taste of a few sauces and meat combos. I cannot wait to try their hibiscus tacos and many others on the long list. They have excellent Happy Hours (even on weekends) with 1/2 off margs and $2 taco Tuesdays.

Their quesabirra tacos were so good I had to order some to-go for my husband to try! I also got table side quac which was so tasty!

Was a great experience. The food menu was slightly limited but I was informed a new menu would be available sometime in November. Our waiter was great and our food was delicious. The style of cuisine is of Mexico City.

Staff seemed perturbed that they had customers. The toilet paper was set on the tank rather than in the dispenser, same for the roll of paper towels….it was set on the counter. There was a man rolling silverware who coughed every 3 minutes….no mask. The margs are tasty, but no discernible alcohol. The mole was very heavy on the cinnamon. Tacos were ok, but there are much better tacos at trucks in town. Won’t be back.
