Clean, bright, happy place that has excellent burgers and milkshakes. It seems to take a little while to get your food because they’re making everything when you order – no burgers under heat lamps or shakes sitting in machines. And yeah, it’s a cliche but it’s worth the wait. My favorite part is the menu – on a happy sign right above the counter. Enough choices to give some great options, but not so many you forget the first ones after reading the list.

Food is good don’t get me wrong. But, every time I come here they always mess up my order. I SPECIFICALLY tell them EXACTLY what I DONT want on my burger and they always seem to put that stuff on it. It’s quite simple to follow directions. I mean I get we all make mistakes but every single time is a little much. Then as we are eating all of the staff are practically standing around and in the back (and I’m assuming the manager on duty) yelled “INCOMING” as she saw a couple walking towards the door. Loud enough so everyone could here. Maybe if the staff wasn’t just walking around and sitting in the back they would know when a customer was coming in. Lastly we ordered two milkshakes, 1 was peanut butter and 1 was chocolate. The same lady made both. She finishes the last one and hands them to us and says “yeah I’m not sure which one is which” so now we have to be the ones to figure this out?!

Good burger and staff offered to make an option that wasn’t on the menu. Nice. The shake was good too. It was odd that there were 7 people working and I was the only customer. Only negative was employees smoking outside the front door during shift change.

The manager was great who made our shakes for us!! Courteous and genuinely cared about our experience. The food was good, I did not realize until we ordered the burgers had to be well done, but not faulting them for that. The fries tasted great! The reason for the 3 stars is the order taker. She was so rude! I usually do not call out people on here but she almost made it that I never want to come back. Her additude while we were asking her questions was that of someone who either hated her job or just hated people. As new customers we were excited to see a huge menu and to be told things like “it’s right on the menu” just not good. Yvonne, (might be spelled wrong) if you dont like it leave.. I honestly can say if the manager was at that register it would have been a perfect experience, but that poor guy cant do it all.

I love having Steak n Shake up north finally! A counter service location as opposed to a full restaurant, the menu is limited in comparison. The service is noticeably quicker though, the staff and management are very friendly, would definitely come back! Only complaint is the limited shake menu; I hope fresh banana comes soon!

I believe they might be out of Business as of Aug 1 2019 First, I believe this place is a bit shady. The first thing they ask you if you are paying by cash or a credit card. Seems kind of weird. Why does it matter? We have been there a few times. Food is not so bad for the prices. Stay with the basic burger and fries for $3.99 and you get what you pay for. Everything is made fresh I can tell that. I love their french fries. Also, the food is always hot. The service is so-so. It really never seems busy and I am thinking it will not make it very long. They have a drive-thru even and nobody uses it. Also, they sell Hot Dogs but no Relish. Now come on. Just there again today 4-8-19 First time I ever saw a line in drive through. Again, the first thing asked was how I was going to pay.

Awesome food and service! So happy there’s finally a Steak n Shake near Philly, and the staff did not disappoint. My frisco melt was awesome, and the staff was beyond kind. The manager even came to our table to check on us. Would highly recommend!
