The Mandwella Effect
My fiancé and I ordered lunch for our family through Grub Hub and we are absolutely disappointed, frustrated, and extremely upset. Mind you, this is not the first time this restaurant has messed up our entire order either. Today I ordered the chicken strip salad and even paid for extra ranch and extra pita bread. Lo and behold, I get to the bottom of the bag and there’s no salad dressing whatsoever and I am one pita bread short. Next, we specially ordered two bacon cheeseburgers and asked to have the toppings placed on the side in a separate container. Seems like a simple request, right? Nope, we were so wrong. They couldn’t even do that and literally placed all the toppings right next to each burger in the same container. We also ordered two fries to go with each of our kids bacon cheeseburgers. One was well done and the other was undercooked. The undercooked fries were so soggy and floppier than a fish out of water. How do you screw up something as simple as french fries? Last, but not least, my fiancé ordered the country fried steak meal. He specifically asked for corn and if they didn’t have that, to please add more mashed potatoes instead. He added that if they couldn’t accommodate his request, to just not give him any vegetable at all. You would think that they would of paid attention to the online order, but no. They literally put green beans in the same container as the entire meal. As I stood there using a fork to remove the green beans, I came across what appeared to be a bone of some kind.

Try to find a clean table if you’re lucky. Sat down at one with ranch, lettuce and french fry pieces on it. Even then it wasn’t enough to clean it. Every other open table was in the same condition. Once was enough for me. Should’ve opened back up as a bar.

This was in walking distance from my hotel and that’s basically a no brainer. From experience, it’s relatively hard for diners to do breakfast wrong so I trusted my gut and the pictures and strolled over. It’s pretty spacious inside with many booths and tables, and bright and sunny thanks to all the windows. You seat yourself where you have menus at your table and then a server comes over to take your order. Priscilla was at my table quickly, dropping off utensils and getting my drink order while giving me time to peruse the menu. I had the two egg plate which comes with your choice of meat, hashbrowns, and toast, and a glass of apple juice. Let me just say that I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of juice brought out to me. Usually 8oz is the norm but Priscilla handed me a 20oz cup of ice cold apple juice that was worth every penny. I was in heaven! Anyways, the food was really good. I mean, it’s hard to mess up basic breakfast lol.

Great little place, clean, friendly staff and coney dogs as good as it gets. If you’re in the mood, you won’t be disappointed. Reasonably priced as well.

Its a good place to visit. It can be hit or miss with the food. I love their chicken greek salads. I got a chicken pita or gyro the first time its was good and the second time dry. That is why i say hit or miss. I like their chicken rice soup. I love the 275 location best for taste but theirs has more chicken and rice. I recently got the dark chocolate cake and it was delicious. My daughter got the strawberry cheese cake. She said the cheese cake it self was good but the strawberries tasted like the can or frozen ones. I will go back the ladies are very sweet and nice!

Just ordered breakfast Western omelette add cheese and bacon.. First no bacon, the cheese they added was so much it over killed everything else.. all u seen was cheese. I called spoke with the manger.. Her I seen the bacon, she was going back and forth with me. Finally bring it back I’ll replace it.. No at this point I just don’t trust them not to do nothing to my food.. For management going forward just a little tip, ask to bring food in and show them what they said is missing is there.. All the extra not need..

Service was very good, food came to the table fast, but was very disappointing. Ordered the farmer’s omelette and basically received hash browns wrapped in egg. Any other ingredients were exceedingly scarce. First time in here and it will be the last time. Portions were very small for $35 to feed 2 people.

Quality food true to the Coney Island cuisine. The service is exceptional. And plenty of variety on the menu.

I’d been a long time away from a good Coney Island. When I saw the sign for Leo’s I cut off all conversation and decreed that we were having dinner there!
