This is the first time we came to Old Madrid. It was a pleasant experience. We were greeted shortly after we arrived. We needed to wait a few mins for a table, which is understandable for a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy. Once we sat down, we waited for over 15 mins before someone came to our table to ask for something to drink. Once we ordered our water and soda, it took a while longer than usual. After about 20 minutes, we were able to order our appetizer. The server didn’t ask if we had ever been there before and could have explained the menu or if there were any chef specials. After receiving our appetizer, the artichoke dip, it was really creamy and delicious. We didn’t expect to get so much. The serving size was big for 2 people, and I’m happy we took it home.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place for years! Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Every single thing we had was new to me and absolutely amazing!! If you’re a meat lover, I definitely suggest the Argentinian skirt steak. And the steak pialla is to die for! The filet melts in your mouth. They have delicious vegetarian dishes as well..

One of my favorite places. For sure my favorite in Racine. There is some of a wait sometimes,especially on weekends. But that is expected . Chef/owner is very nice and comes out to touch tables. Haven’t had a bad experience yet.

Let me start by saying if the wait time is over 15 min we usually go on to the next place. So we called Old Madrid before going, 45 min wait the lady said, and you must physically come put your name on the list you can’t do it over the phone ‍♀️ ‍♀️ ‍♀️ this was annoying!

Delicious food, everything we have tried is wonderful. Plates are generous and the items are creative. Gluten free and vegetarian items are marked on the menu. Grilled vegetable salad is amazing.

Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere. Servers are always super friendly and everything on their menu is delicious. Must stop if you’re up for new food to try or if you love Spanish food. My one and only complaint is that I wish the paella had a crispy bottom. The meatballs with almond sauce is a must get on every visit

We love Old Madrid!!! This food is phenomenal!!! One thing I will say though….is for the $28 seafood gumbo, I only had one scallop in the meal. There used to be a spicy sausage in it too, which I had none of? What you are really getting is a $28 chicken with rice meal. I know times are challenging, but they are challenging for our pocketbooks too. Service is always friendly. We will never stop eating at Old Madrid.

This place is amazing! The serving sizes are FAR larger than your normal tapas. I highly recommend the papas bravas, the spicy shrimp, and the empanadas. The red sangria is a safe and highly enjoyable drink.
