The fish was fresh and delicious. Plates were very small though, so don’t expect to feel super full after eating here especially if you’re trying to keep the budget under $200.

Best experience all around! Atmosphere, Customer service, and Hospitality were exceptional. The FOOD ? Not sure I could properly describe the flavors, textures, and the sophistication of the dishes we enjoyed last night. 5 stars all around! Stephen and Phil are experienced in their craft and such a pleasure to have hosting our dinner at the Fishery. We will definitely be coming back!

We had dinner at The Fishery on our recent trip to San Diego. The food was impeccable – in particular, the macadamiacrusted halibut. It was perfection! Other items we tried: dungeness crab fettuccine, the burrata salad and the calamari. While these were also great dishes, none compared to the halibut.

First time for us here and we really enjoyed our dinner. We are believers that many restaurant appetizers or small plates are better than the entrees. That is not the case at the Fishery. We had the diver scallop and squid ink risotto, the whole fish (rock fish), and a spicy shrimp pasta dish. Each was far better than expected. The service was friendly and the case of fish for take home looked really exceptional. We will definitely be back. The prices were also very reasonable for dinner for 5 people.

One of my favorite restaurants. It easily has the best seafood in town. Haven’t had anything that I didn’t like here. The dishes are prepared in such amazing ways to highlight the quality of the seafood. They also have a good selection of creative craft cocktails. I highly recommend spot prawns, hamachi crudo and market carpaccio. But really everything here tastes great.

Most amazing fish house we have been to. The menu is “simple” but a great range of choices. We (four of us) all had something different, and all the dishes were crazy good. The options were simple, but the results were over the top wonderful. The drinks we had were all unique mixes of alchahol and other flavorings but were tasty without being overdone. The prawn appetizer had a unique presentation and equally good flavor. The clam chowder impressed even the bostonian in our group. The swordfish dish was so incredibly flavorful, especially with the accompanying smoked broccotini. The salmon melted in your mouth, and the fish and chips were like eating well-done fish coated in a slightly sweet batter. The desserts were equally great, with none of them disappointing. You would do yourself well to have a meal here. But bring your big wallet. It’s a bit pricy.

I’ve been on the hunt for the best clam dish in San Diego. As of now, the Littleneck Clams on this menu have a slight edge over close leading restaurants. There’s something magical between a crusty bread and white wine concoction that is unparalleled. Chef Mike absolutely crushes it!

We had a great anniversary at the Fishery. Ian was our server who truly made the experience wonderful! We were greeted with a champagne to toast. Then all dishes after we’re amazing but the favorites were the Miso Kanpachi & Lemon Tart dessert. All the seafood you could tell was the best quality and fresh! Can’t wait to come back to try more!
