First and foremost, the employees are awesome and very friendly. Anything other than that however is blah. The building is falling apart, the bathrooms are beyond the ability to clean, and the atmosphere gives off homeless vibes. The food, stove hot as all get out is nothing but nostalgic. They were out of salmon and rice. Overall, it had been years since we ate Long John’s Silvers and it is going to be another decade until we eat it again.

Absolutely terrible service. The girl on drive thru window ignored us and we went in and she was on her phone talking and she didn’t even acknowledge us at all. Her cooks were also sitting down in the back not doing nothing at all. The store wasn’t even packed so I don’t see the reason for acting like they’re busy. We were the only one inside. I even took pictures of them on phone or sitting down as proof. Location 1101 50th st. In lubbock Texas. I will be in contact with General manager or corporate soon.

So slow… Taking online orders first and letting the drive through sit for 30 plus mins… The employees are trying but by their own admission it’s hot and the online orders come first… Really poor leadership no way to run a restaurant. I feel for the employees, it’s hot and you can feel the hot air being blown out of the window. Now the shift leader is upset with the crew because they are trying to appease the customers. If I was not already invested in both time and treasure I would leave…. Some one should step in. Restaurant Impossible where are you?? I won’t be back!

My wife and I were on an extremely tight budget, and their plates start out a little high. We told the manager how much we had, and asked him if there was anything we could afford on their menu. He was super friendly, understanding, and helpful. He explained our options and set it up to make sure my wife and I both had something. I appreciate his help more than he knows. The only downside is that the dining room was closed. I’m not sure if this was an all the time issue, or if it was just that day.

Major disappointment. I ordered a 2 piece fish meal with Cole slaw. I got 2 pieces of fish and a couple of hush puppies in an A & W sack and a side dish of Cole slaw. Hardly the meal on a plate I wad expecting and was accustomed to from the old LJS – I guess it’s going to be another long time. Last attempt a month or so ago they couldn’t fry anything due to problems with their equipment.

Service was very friendly. Store was something different: tables and chairs were dirty. Chairs were a different story cracked, and torn even had graffiti scared into them. Bathrooms: even though they had plenty of paper towels and soap, they were filthy. The trash can was upside down and the walls were very filthy. Very gross. The soda fountain was disgusting. They had solidified syrup to the drink dispenser’s handles. Overall. Food was good but the restaurant had friendly service and store and was just worn down.

The coleslaw smelt like straight garbage when we opened it. It was like we were served old coleslaw. The fries were not cooked all the way. The fish was okay. Definitely not what it use to be. Needs new management or something. The employees in front were super nice though.

I think this restaurant is actively trying to run itself out of business. Staff was too busy chatting with each other to take our order. The lobby was uncomfortably hot. June in Texas, 90 degrees outside, and it would have been cooler to eat outside in the parking lot. Half of the A&W menu items were unavailable. Ketchup and Tartar dispensers were empty. I asked for packets instead, and they acted like I asked for gold, not tartar sauce. One of our party found some sort of foreign material in their fountain drink. The fries tasted fishy. The burger tasted burnt. Not a proper char on a grilled burger….. BURNT. The food was overpriced for the quality. The service overall was slow, and the customer service was completely non-existent. Will. Not. Return.

The staff at this place were awesome! The main cashier was so sweet with a group of older folks that all had issues using their debit cards. She was so patient with every one of them! Fast and friendly, wonderful experience! ✨️
