I recently had the chance to dine at Adyar Ananda Bhavan in New York City, and it was a fantastic experience! This authentic Indian eatery delivers an impressive array of flavorful dishes that cater to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian tastes. The laid-back atmosphere and unpretentious decor create a comfortable setting to enjoy a satisfying meal.

Stopped by today to dine in for lunch. I ordered the masala dosa, needless to say I was very disappointed. I politely let my server know my dosa came severely under-filled (see attached photo). She informed me I ordered the wrong dosa. I requested to get the correct dosa that would have more filling. She said I could do that but I would have to pay for both. I said that’s not a problem. By the time the correct dosa came my lunch break was nearing its end and I had to take it to go and didn’t even get to eat it. Paid for 2 dosas today, didn’t get to enjoy either. Will not be returning.

The food was okay. The sambar felt more like daal and the vada in sambar vada was hard. The rava dosa tasted like cardboard and was so dry. The masala in the masala dosas was like mashed potatoes, no seasoning or other condiments that go in it. It was just potato and salt.

After reviewing ratings went to dine at this restaurant expecting to have good dosas. Sorry to say, very disappointed with the place, food and ambience! Though dosas are their specialty, relatively chaats were better over dosas we tried Mysore Ravva Onion, Ghee chilli Ravva onion, Onion Ravva dosa and Ghee Masala dosa.

Orginal) I can’t believe this is the same place that boasts of gr8 food back in South India. The food was less than average. Service was pathetic. Please avoid unless you have no option.

Had a really great experience! The food we ordered was really good- the dosa was delicious and really fresh. Service was excellent as the waitress was extremely attentive and answered all the questions I had about the menu and helped me choose what to order. Would definitely come back here in the future!

I have been to A2B in other places( Parsippany, south Plainfield, Chennai) and had a decent expectation for this place based on previous experiences, but was very disappointed. Special grill rava dosa was very dry and parotta did not taste like usual parotta. Kuruma did not have any flavor, tasted like steamed veggies.
