Owner Benny Qosaj opened Giulio’s Restaurant in 2022. Housed in a beautiful, romantic, Queen Anne Victorian in Historic Tappan, NY, just minutes from Bergen County, Giulio’s Restaurant offers contemporary Italian cuisine. Built in 1880 by the Smith family, the rooms are adorned with carved woodwork and large beveled glass windows that make you feel like you stepped into another era. The warm and inviting fireplaces in the Main Dining Room and Oak Room beckon guests to enjoy a fine glass of wine and a delicious meal.

My husband and I just left Guilios after an amazingly delicious meal. Our waiter, Lou, was exceptional. He made an effort to explain the specials thoroughly and he had the perfect knack of not rushing you, but being there when you were ready to order. All in all a fantastic experience! Went here for my anniversary dinner, outstanding service and the food is AMAZING!!! Very beautiful setting. I had the chicken francese and my husband had the rack of lamb, both were dynamite. Calamari as an appetizer was the best I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this place!

Absolutely incredible! It’s a wholesome experience. The restaurant/mansion is homely, welcoming and simply quaint. A taste of fine dining in Tappan, NY. The hospitality and service gets an A+. I was 20 minutes late for my reservation and it was close to closing yet, the hostess waited for me with a smile and a warm Birthday wish. I felt as if they were waiting for my arrival. Treatment worthy of an elite. It was the most authentic reception. The food itself deserved an A++. This is a restaurant worthy of the drive since I traveled from Brooklyn. I recommend it over and over again. Go for it! Cheers All!

My husband and I have been dining with Benny since he opened Vicolo in Old Tappan. He now owns Giulio’s in Tappan, NY and the atmosphere and experience have gotten even better. Benny treats you like family. The food is always fresh and delicious. His prices are reasonable and he offers huge portions. We love sitting on the porch during cool summer evenings. Benny and his crew are welcoming and generous. It never disappoints. Bring your entire family for a lovely meal.

If you park on the side of the building, the bar entrance is the door closest to the south of the building. The main entrance is faces east. The place was decorated nicely for the holidays. We sat in a small room upstairs.

I was very excited when I found out that the owner of the restaurant Vicolo’s, which has now closed, opened up a new place! It is called Giulio’s Restaurant and it is in Tappan, NY. It is a beautiful establishment best Italian food ever. The lovely Victorian house, the atmosphere, and the attention from the owner and staff can’t be denied. I give the food a 10, I got salad rigatoni with vodka sauce—out of this world! I can only say I sincerely love everything about this restaurant and highly recommend you come and taste the delicious food for yourself.
