We’re a bit like our hometown: sophisticated, well-traveled, but grounded in our roots. We believe there’s nothing more important than taking time to dine well with family and friends in a beautiful space. And we have a passion for all things Bluegrass – curing our meats in-house, supporting the region’s diverse farming and food community, and keeping a local-first mindset in everything we do.
Epping’s is located in a renovated historic building that once held Epping Bottling Works, home to the hustle and spirit of local entrepreneur John G. Epping. Today, we are proud to honor that history and be part of the energy of downtown Lexington’s Warehouse Block.

Really good food, above average service, nice ambiance, good music. The prices are a bit high, but I would recommend this place for a special night out. I did not appreciate that a fee was added for using a credit card. To me, this is a business cost. It should already be factored in to the price of the meal. Then you could give a discount to those paying with cash if you choose to do so. Added fees are an insult.

Fantastic brunch. Will be back on the regular. Best eggs I’ve ever had, Benedict polenta was 10/10, French toast could feed a battalion. Ian was a great server. Can’t go wrong with this place

Great food. Loved the design of the restaurant. Everyone working was very friendly and the owner personally came over to see how things were. Extremely LGBT friendly.

Amazing atmosphere very neat space and well laid out. We tried the Lexington Restaurant Week 4 course meal. The crab bisque had a great rich flavor, the chicken pakora was very good with a nice dipping sauce to cut some of the spicy. The pork lion could have had more flavor but the risotto and broccolini it came with was fabulous . The seared bronzini was the best of the night, fish was perfectly cooked and was plated over a lovely fregola pasta!!

immaculate vibe. the skylights bring in lots of welcoming rays of sun to shine upon your eggs benedict (which was delicious by the way). even though they were packed the bar staff was attentive and super nice.

We threw a surprise brunch for a friend recently and it was outstanding. The staff was very sweet and attentive. They even wished her happy birthday and comped her cappuccino! The morning ended with the whole restaurant serenading the birthday song to our friend.

Absolutely loved this restaurant when it first opened! Unfortunately, the switch to small plates tapas style has ruined it for me after many tries. I’ve tried nearly all of their dishes on their very large menu (17 small plates to be exact..) and none of them hit the spot. They try to be unique which I love but the flavor, quality, and price are all off. Also STAY AWAY if you have any sort of nut ALLERGIES. For a server to know the allergens on 20+ dishes on the menu is difficult so I’m not putting this on the server. However, almost all of their small plates have nuts which makes it nearly impossible for someone who is deathly allergic to eat here. If they want to charge upper tier prices they need to train their staff beyond the point of asking about allergens and alerting the kitchen (as we did and still had nut dishes brought out to us). The service is always subpar most of the staff doesn’t seem to have had the chance to try everything on the menu (again not on them since it’s so large). I’m just disappointed that I lost one of my all time favorite restaurants in town to their wild menu ideas. Bring back the OG Epping’s…
