The food was edible but lacked flavor and was very bland. The coffee creamer curdled in the coffee so I sent it back and asked for a mocha which was okay. For the price it was definitely not worth it for breakfast. Maybe lunch or dinner would be better but the food was not good. The hash browns were soggy and oily and the cheese on the omelette was not melted. Not happy with my experience here. Although I will say my mother who dined here also had the clam chowder and said it was very good. ‍♀️

Very nice to have a restaurant and bar where you are staying and especially that it’s right on the beach. The food was excellent and portions actually too large, leftovers every time. Places shut down pretty early in this town and here rivaled the latest closers, at 9pm!

Great tasting, delicious food with indulgent portions. The view and ambiance alone are worth a visit.

Before even walking into the restaurant it was confusing if I was even in the right place, there was no clear signage. I asked the hotel front desk and they affirmed that there was a restaurant inside and that they did serve non-guests. Great. The depiction online looked elegant. Fancy even, so I had high hopes. Too high, sadly. At the entrance to the restaurant, past the hotel front desk, a dry erase board listed the specials and instructed us to seat ourselves. My friend and I came an hour before closing and it seemed busy although, about less than half the dining room was full. I counted three servers rushing around as we sat for 15 minutes without menus or anything else at a dirty table, which was the only one left near the bay windows offering amazing sweeping views of battery point and the surrounding area. As a waitress zoomed by, she stopped to hurriedly wipe the table and took our orders for coffee. Unfortunately, I had to ask two or three times for cream and a spoon. After sitting for awhile longer, I realized she wasn’t going to stop at our table again to take our orders. Being Sunday evening, I wasn’t feeling too picky, just glad a place was open because I had skipped lunch. After I approached the bar and asked for menus, I ordered the special, fish and chips. My friend ordered some kind of sad looking grilled chicken sandwich thing on a squashed bun. I was served three pieces of fried breaded mush that appeared just slightly larger than an average fish stick sitting on top of something akin to and tasting much on the same level as McDonald’s French fries, but not as good. The tartar sauce was pretty good though, as well as the coleslaw. Sadly, I did not take a photo. I was tired from driving most of the day and only thought of it afterwards, as I was more focused on my friend who I hadn’t seen for some time.

The fish & chips were like what you got in grade school fish sticks, the calamari was tough and the clam chowder was just luke warm. The coleslaw was not good either. The waiter did a great job however. Would not reccomend the food.

I ordered rib eye steak with salad, rice and sauteed mushrooms. There was no seasoning on the steak and it was gross. It’s color seemed really off, too. That would’ve been fine except that I paid $33 for the meal. The rice was plain, steamed rice, which was flavorless and also dry. They didn’t have blue cheese dressing for my salad which seemed odd but not the end of the world. The only thing I enjoyed was the sauteed mushrooms. I also had a cocktail, which was very weak but ok. I had bread pudding for dessert and that was actually delicious. All told, I spent $60 including tip. I deliver didn’t get $60 worth of enjoyment from the food. It makes no sense to me how they have this beautiful ocean view restaurant but they serve subpar food. I’ve had some of my favorite meals in ocean view restaurants and I expected more. The staff were great though.

This restaurant sits right next to the beach with a spectacular view. The food and service were very good. Prices are a bit high but you’re paying for the location. Well worth it!

Wonderful and helpful staff, took us in for dinner only 10mins before the kitchen closed and did the same for several others that came in after us! Dinner was wonderful and the chocolate gluten free cake was the best. Fully recommend!
