Great place, you can tell by how busy it was on a Wednesday night. Our server Tee was great. I had the lamb chops which were awesome. My friend had the porterhouse, another had the pork chop. All were phenomenal. The drinks were creative tasty and made by true professionals. So the chefs, bartenders, and servers were top-notch. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

This was the recommendation of a friend and it exquisite! The host staff was friendly and they also accommodated our reservation since we were running late. Our server Ali took great care of us and made some great suggestions! We had the Tomahawk (it’s been the best we’ve ever had) and the Wagyu they were cooked perfectly! We had the lobster tail as well, it was tasty, fresh and a nice size. The Caesar salad with the anchovies was light, delicious and not overdressed. All in all this is truly a winner. We will be coming back here next time we are in Tampa.

Great place! Food is fantastic, atmosphere really nice, and their staff is quite attentive. The valet parking is a nice feature as well, especially if it’s raining or if you don’t want to walk in the heat. They also have a pretty generous rewards program that you can apply towards discounts during future visits, and they’re military-friendly.

Carla was our server and was absolutely phenomenal from the moment she arrived to our table all the way to holding the door for us on our way out. She was very knowledgeable, detail oriented, and overall pleasant. This was our first time dining here and our evening at Bascoms was absolutely amazing. We cannot wait to come back. Easily the best steak and overall meal my boyfriend and I have ever had.

This place was awesome. We came here & we were told at the door they were full and didn’t have a waitlist. We went to the second floor and the bartender actually made us a table from several smaller to accommodate. The service was unmatched and made for an exceptional experience. The food was fantastic the ambiance was stellar I’d give this place 6 stars if it would allow. A+++

From June 2022. We started with their famous Billionaire Bacon, pepper and maple sugar glazed thick bacon, and a crab cake, full of delicious, sweet, crab. We then shared a porterhouse steak with scalloped potato, while we individually had the sea scallops, and Chilean sea bass. The bacon was great but the excessive pepper and sugar maple glaze was a distraction and made it worse. The scalloped potatoes were also overpowered by parmesan flavor and the texture was unpleasant. All the other sides and main dish were satisfying and enjoyable to eat. It was good quality food executed well.

I’ve visited this restaurant many many times but not sure why this is my first review. Need to start off by saying Carla is incredible and made some great suggestions! We ended up going with the Tomahawk steak. If you don’t get anything else, get the Gouda Mac and cheese.

I was treated by some great friends for my Birthday dinner. I decided to go back to Bascom! We arrived at 5:00 so we had the server all to ourselves!

We were very impressed with our waitress/server Emily. She knew the menu inside and out and gave us great suggestions as well as details about each menu item and special. We ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, Wagyu Steak with Bone Marrow truffle butter, and a Strip steak. The steak was so tender you can cut it with a butter knife. I did feel the manager could have taken a little more time on his table touch waiting for a response from us when he asked how our meal was. He was off to the next table before we could rush out the answer. All in all, it was an amazing meal, great atmosphere and memorable dinner!

Went from “wow” to “meh…” Bascoms has been one of the top steak houses in Tampa for a long time. It’s definitely worth a visit. But it has not kept up with the growing food scene in the area. We ordered a tomahawk and spent about $1000 between six people and by the end none of us were wow’d. The tomahawk was a tad burnt outside but undercooked inside and lacked flavor. Our order got messed up two times. The calamari was hard and chewy. On the plus side their prime rib and pork chop were very good, and their sides too. The service was ok, nothing special. As you will see in some of the more recent reviews the tables have been packed together and you don’t have a lot of room. You can easily hear conversations from people at another table. Overall we ate well but no one from my party was super impressed and four of them walked away saying they had better food and service at Benny Hanna, Seltzers, and Meat Market.
