First time we were there with friends, the four of us tries 12 appetizers, a perfect dinner and perfect way to test the food and menu. We were very happy and satisfied, and have gone back several times since including celebrations of birthday, graduation, and anniversary. The combination of high quality food, friendly staff, attentive service, and warm ambience makes Kaori an ideal dining venue for all occasions. Highly recommended!

I’ve had lunch and dinner here and both times the food was exceptional. I wish the portions were a little bigger but they nailed the taste. I don’t think the dinner entrees are worth it but the appetizers were great. The lunch bento box was very good and worth the splurge. The tonkatsu was cooked perfectly and the sides had a good variety. Service can be a bit slow even though the restaurant is empty.

Came on a Thursday night for a birthday dinner. It was a bit empty as expected for a higher $$$ restaurant. Had a reservation on Open Table and our server, Biew(Excellent, btw) was ready to welcome us.

Came here Friday night for my birthday celebration! The host was so nice and he offered me a complimentary treat for my birthday and let us choose which table to sit at. It wasn’t busy at 6 but by 7, the restaurant was full.

I liked the food and the ambience but they didn’t have any many varieties to choose from. This place is also little pricey.

Came here for our anniversary dinner and we were NOT disappointed. Inside there’s a luxurious, modern cocktail lounge vibe. The cocktails are creative and delightful (must try their take on a paloma). We were most pleasantly surprised by the food in it’s flavor and execution. The appetizers shared as much of the highights as the main courses. Namely the 1000-layer Ikura Potato and Okaki Ebi Balls. Our whole experience was sealed by the friendly and lovely staff (our waitress, Bu, was phenomenal), were the GM personally greeted each guest upon arrival. Kaori is perfect for date night dinners and/or hang out by the bar for cocktails and appetizers. We’ll be back again soon.

It’s American fusion. Food was good. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was okay, they’re still trying to figure it out but everyone was friendly!

Looking for a local world class culinary experience? Head to Kaori. Your tastebuds will thank you. The space is well lighted and beautifully designed in muted metallics, glass, textured concrete, clay, stone, iron and wood. The food allows for the same variety and cohesion, but with flavors and edible textures. The beer on tap is excellent. Each course was a treat. The Chicken Sando is so yummy. The tuna and octapus sides are flavorful and fresh. The cheesecake and panna cotta taste as fine as they look. The presentation is art here. The service was wondeful. Get there for some Japanese California fusion style.
