Little pricey, but you get what you pay for! Fish is clearly of higher quality with every piece of sushi tasting like it should. The staff has always been extreamly kind and very fast on my take out orders. Great sake list and overall positive vibe whenever I eat here. Also they have some unique rolls that I have not seen anywhere. Only reason not 5 star is they have no all you can sushi deal (Higher end place so that is understandable), and hours are not the greatest. Only open prime time or less some days

This place was just that… “okay”. I would say it was more of a bar with sushi then a sushi restaurant. My boyfriend and I went there for a date but we could hardly hear each other over the music and the loud crowd. I would compare the atmosphere to a Taco Mac on a Friday or Saturday night. The sushi was just “okay” too and I have been to MANY sushi places in many different places. (On the upside, my Spider Roll was tasty.) Service wasn’t so hot either. My drink stayed empty throughout the majority of our meal until she came to deliver the bill, which was the only opportunity I had to request a refill. All and all, we will continue on our quest to find a good sushi joint around here.

The food is phenomenal!! Tornado Roll is delicious along with everything else that we had for dinner! Will definitely be my new favorite Japanese steakhouse and sushi restaurant. If you haven’t given this place a chance, you need too

Decided to pop in and order to go, got 3 fresh rolls of sushi in 10 minutes. I took the advice of the girl up front and ordered two of the most popular rolls and both were delicious! The tornado roll is the best sushi I’ve had. I will definitely return.

Expensive for what you get. I got an eel roll that was actually fish with eel sauce. It tasted along the lines of a flounder. Also, my sushi had bones in it. There are better sushi restaurants if you look for them. Also, it took them forever to just come greet us and show us to a table (there were at least 6 or 7 open tables). The waitress just threw our plates on the table at us. Strangely I believe that was her being nice? I honestly wouldn’t go back since there are better restaurants in the area and I highly advise people to not check this place out.

We live very close to Sushi at the Lake, and so we get take out there quite often. We’ve vegan (strict vegetarians), so we enjoy their vegetarian sushi offering. They’ve never gotten our order wrong, and are always a pleasure to deal with in terms of service.

Went mothers day evening. Waited forever for a table, sat at the bar for a while – the bar tender was awesome. Ended up leaving before we ever got our table. The staff was nice and honest about how long this were taking, an hour to get food, not cool. I will definitely try this place again but for now 2 stars…the bartender (maybe manager) did comp our drinks for our trouble.

Food presentation was wonderful, but everything else was just OK. I wasn’t wow’d by any taste. I tried the Rock n Roll and some other roll (Crisp Roll?) that was lightly battered and fried. The space is small and the seats were a bit sticky. Their beer selection is good.

Sushi @ the lake has been my favorite place to dine out at for over 10 years. The food is awesome, atmosphere is fun, and the service is great! If you have not been, I highly recommend trying it- you will be hooked.

Extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Sushi @ the Lake last night. My table was approached three times because a server thought she left her phone in the bathroom and it wasn’t there anymore. The third time, the bartender walked up to us and basically lectured us about “doing the right thing” because evidently the the tracker had been turned off after she previously came by our table. I saw no other tables in the restaurant being interrogated. So now we’re trying to finish out meals while the entire staff is staring at our table from every direction, making us feel uncomfortable. As we are leaving, we spoke to the owner about the situation, and I still don’t feel that we were being taken seriously. Then, there a policeman was outside. What was he going to do, search us after we had already said we didn’t have the phone? Oh and guess what? They ended up finding the phone somewhere. None of the staff apologized, and I most certainly will not be returning. There is a polite and correct way to handle things in this sort of situation.
