I was genuinely surprised at just how good the food was at Saint John’s: the nachos, brussel sprouts (no for real — trust me they were phenomenal), and sweet ginger wings were all particularly delicious! Drinks were also really good, and the atmosphere was very welcoming and fun. The staff was super attentive and nice, and the bathrooms were clean — overall a great night out and I definitely recommend eating here! There’s a patio out back which I’m sure is lovely when the weather’s nice, so also check that out when you come!

Margot is amazing! With a line out the door, they were on it making delicious drinks in record speed. The environment is chill. Will be back for good for sure!

I held a private event with my organization here in May and was so pleased by the experience. I knew the food and drinks would be great because I frequent the location often personally and recommend it to friends. I was delighted by how kind and collaborative Michael and his team were in facilitating the run of the event and ensuring that our needs were met and that our attendees were having a great time. I hope to be back next year and look forward to being back myself in the meantime!

Saint John’s is a place that I can call my second home. Been a regular there for many years now. The food is always on point and the drinks are always great. The vibe is very inviting. Love the patio with the dinosaur garden. Haven’t been for trivia night or karaoke yet, but I hear they are a lot of fun. Haven’t been to brunch in a while but when I did make it out it was always tasty. The staff is also always very accommodating. I highly recommend checking this spot out. You won’t regret it.

Margot was an amazing bartender! They really kept the line moving with a smile. By themselves on a HELLA busy weekend, they crushed it and did it with so much confidence and kept my friend and I laughing. Thank you Margot <3

We had just popped in for a quick brunch and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely meal we had in the well heated patio. Very quirky vibe in the interiors as well. Nice cocktails and the chicken skewers were delicious. There was barely anyone else (just one table of customers in the patio) so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. They’re strictly following all covid precautions.

I visited Saint John’s for trivia. Arrive early cause it gets busy! The venue is very loud, due to both the street noise and music volume. My friends and I had to yell in order to be heard over the traffic and music… which really isn’t ideal for trivia. Saint John’s is bar service only, and the line gets really long. The night I went only two folks were working so they might be struggling with staffing like a lot of restaurants. I feel for them, but I wasn’t impressed with the service. I don’t mind waiting when it’s busy, but I was served beer in a glass with a chipped rim and my friend was served in a glass that had a huge crack running top to bottom. Broken glassware risks glass shards getting into the beverage. The fact that both myself and my friend received drinks in broken glasses makes me concerned that the staff are so rushed that they aren’t checking items for safety and tossing broken items. I don’t see myself going back, and if you choose to go – order something that comes in a can.

Hosted a poetry reading at Saint John’s back in March and they were amazing! Great staff, wonderful atmosphere—everyone had an awesome time. Also the brussels sprouts and fried potatoes are delicious! Will keep coming back to Saint John’s forever.

This place is really overpriced, but such is the case with most restaurants/eatery’s on this block. Shepherds pie is pretty good but nothing crazy. The short rib is well seasoned but the carrots are undercooked and it’s a bit weird texture-wise biting into pieces of potato in the mashed potato. Definitely not worth 18.82. Would get it again if it was like ~15.

You really need to up the professionalism on your karaoke, folks. Tonight you didn’t even think about fiddling with your speakers or starting up until nearly 8:30, and then right before my song was up, you declared that you were taking a “break” at about 10. There are 2 of you. Why do you need a break after not even 2 hours? The gig is not that hard. I’m not going to wait around just so that you can not work for 15 minutes. I’m never coming back to this place. It’s a pity, because your song selection is actually pretty good. But the KJs are completely unprofessional.
